It studies replays of players who have been reported for cheating, and studies their replays for patterns of cheating, such as wallhacks, aimbots, and more. That is really outstanding AI tech. It is sad that there are so many cheaters out there in the gaming world.

+1  I'm glad they are making an effort. I will never understand the need to cheat at a game.

Calling BS.
Valve is terrible. VAC is the most ineffective anti cheat is gaming. They do this stuff for PR to save one of their gambling platforms.

Do you play CSGO competitive actively? The quality of overwatch reports significantly improved and became distinctly more defined when vacnet went online. This isn’t VAC that you are talking about, this is a review system that automatically sends players up for review under overwatch. Both players and VACnet report players for judgment in Overwatch. But when VACnet reports a suspected cheater, they're almost always a cheater.

Well, it couldn't be any worse, could it ?  VAC is/was terrible. Super slow to update & catch anyone. Most everybody would be done playing a game before original VAC bans hackers.....

1700 CPU, And yet, there still have a lot of cheater out there. Can you imagine how much a company need to spend to try avoiding cheaters? Nozler

+1 The BF series is my favorite FPS game. But the cheaters kill it.

Counter Strike is actually getting better about the obvious cheaters getting banned nearly immediately. The “silent” hacks are definitely harder to catch, but they are still getting better with time.

It does amaze me how people find it fun to use cheats/hacks & just how many there is. It has really killed FPS gaming for me on a personal level, as it seems worse then ever. And we all know the ones using hacks smartly, are likely to never be caught. And then you have the crowd in total denial about hackers/cheaters making statements like " I've played over 1000 hours! and I've never come across a hacker"............I hate these people, almost as much as the cheaters themselves  On a serious note though staying on topic; at least Valve acknowledges the issue & seems to being aiming for the common good.

it seems that cheating with games will never go away, its part of human nature to grab as much fruit as you can carry......
