What VPN service would you recommend for Netflix and online gaming? I was thinking of free service at first but I saw a 7day paid trial offer by pure VPN for $0.99 only. I am thinking to give it a shot. Would any of you have ever used it before? Or recommend me any good VPN with good Reputation.

Netflix has been blocking a lot of VPN IP addresses so I wouldn't recommend any. You can read online about them blocking them but it's just not worth it if you ask me because even if you found one that works they have people also looking and blocking them.

Agreed. Go ahead and try free trials, if available, that you can back out of, but its likely you will have a hard time finding one which will reliably get by Netflix country restrictions. As an aside, when it comes to using VPNs for security purposes, most services these days with an account use HTTPS (secure encrypted connection). See the lock symbol in the address bar? That's HTTPS. Not really much reason to recommend a VPN for that reason. It would just be redundant. Some things to keep in mind: I used to use a VPN quite regularly. I don't any more; or at least haven't for quite a while. My subscription to the VPN service is still active, but I don't use it because I no longer have a reason. If you have ever had to use xxxxx, you would understand; probably about 2% of the US population know what I am talking about. Or, using a VPN to combat corporate spying -- a company which uses xxxxx for example -- is a use case, but not a very good use case if you value keeping your job. In summary, I don't recommend making a VPN commitment until you first confirm that you in fact need a VPN, and first confirm that the VPN works to satisfy your use case, prior to making a commitment which you can't back out of.

I've been using AirVPN for over 3 years..No issues..Has a free trial period request at the bottom of the "Buy" page..Can connect to many servers in many countries..Allows me to access websites that I normally can't from the EU..Haven't tried it for Netflix or online gaming though. Sounds a lot like ExpressVPN that jfw06013 mentioned.

Norton 360 security (virus & firewall software) includes free VPN, although I've never used it so no idea how good (or bad) it is.

I've been using NordVPN and like it. Also it does work with Netflix as it offers Obfuscated servers. Netflix will still try to block the IP ranges when it finds them but for example I just right now tried Netflix with Dr. Who which is not available in the US. When I connected with an obfuscated server type in the UK not only did search find it, but it actually played. My first attempt using their standard P2P server type failed to play even though it let me view it in search results

NordVPN. in fact they just came out with a new protocol today called nordlynx. It substantially increased my download speed. Very close to what it was without it.

I just use the free 20Gb Windscribe plan when needed - suits my needs To be honest most VPNs severely reduce my upload/download speeds of around 980mbps and 500mbps respectively.... so I only use VPN when I need it Mind you given Covid19 i'm getting closer to 300 symmetrical given bandwidth stress on consumer-grade ISPs with everyone working from home... but that's a different story altogether.

The only reason I use Netflix is because I have a Surfshark VPN that can bypass its blocks, and I can easily jump through various servers and enjoy more content then I would normally. Don't know about gaming cause I don't game much, so I can't comment on that, but I heard VPNs help to reduce ping. Also, I checked that Surfshark works with both Xbox and Playstation if that helps.

They've actually had it out for a while at least on the iOS and Linux clients. I don't actually use it on my PC. I mainly got it for my mobile devices for when I connect to various free public wifi spots like the one at my work (because there's like zero cell signal) and for when we were traveling overseas for vacation. It was in beta status though and sometimes would cause issues loading sites. Hopefully they've worked that out.

I've tried many VPNs for Netflix and Spotify in the past, but they blocked most of them. The only one they seem to be fin with is the one from . It was recommended to me by a friend who has been using it for years and has never had any problems. I also read in the reviews that it's considered one of the top VPN providers in the industry. It's also easier to use than other since it has such a simple interface. The connection is securely encrypted, your IP address hidden, and you'll be able to help unlock geo-blocked content like Netflix and online gaming.

NordVPN. Good for torrenting and accessing BBC iPlayer from outside the UK... 👍🏻
I used TorGuard for a couple of years before, mind. I only switched because Nord was a bit cheaper at the time. 😁

Get a reliable VPN that has only clean IPs and is quick for streaming. The majority come with a 30-day money-back guarantee and are reasonably priced. With the finest ones like Soax, there are no captchas or streaming restrictions. So check it out . In contrast, Dirty IPs require you to complete a lengthy captcha before you can do anything on Google, YouTube, or Twitter because VPN usage is so high there. They merely produce a terrible, slower internet experience. Additionally, if you want to guarantee that it won't leak your IP when the internet is down, you'll have to fork up some cash.
