Has anyone used this Wireless M.2 Kit, https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=Y001-00-000018, with the X299 Dark? Pros/Cons? Should I get something different?

Thanks!

    Currently
    - Intel 9800x
    - EVGA RTX 2080ti FTW3 HC
    - x1 Samsung NVME 970 Pro
    - 32GB of RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum

Will be adding in addition to above soon...
    - EVGA NU Audio Card
    - x1 Samsung NVME 970 EVO
    - At least x2 HDD (SATA)

I am assuming you are asking due to PCIe lane allocation? I believe the M.2 Key that this would go into feeds off of the chipset not the CPU.

If you click on the compatibility tab on the kit the X299 Dark is not listed - there are 2 different types of wireless cards (I would have to go back and search past threads here in the X299 section to list what they were) and are not cross compatible - if EVGA did not list the X299 Dark then it probably wont work

    Edit:

I looked back through wireless stuff - as long as the interface type is "Wi-Fi(PCIe), BT(USB" and not "M.2: CNVio"
Looking at the Intel website the 700, 800 and one early 900 series wireless m.2 cards will work.
Meaning up to the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 will work, but from the Intel® Wireless-AC 9461 onward will not

Theoretically should be able to use any M.2 Kit unless there are clearance issues or something else going on there. I would think... I am not really seeing a lot of good options with good reviews, so I am thinking that I am just going to go with USB or most likely the TP-Link AC1300 PCIe card.

Do you need antennas when using the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth M.2 Key E devices?
