Is there a reason why setting adaptive makes a stable OC to less than stable? It is just left at +0, did not want it running 24/7 1.235v. It crashes occasionally while on ms word and internet surfing. Should I just disable Vdroop?

Could reinstall windows, benching until stability causes many crashes.

Go into your bios and see if you have CPU load line calibration or something like that, if it's set at auto or a low number bump it up to a higher level, that helps control vdroop.

EVGA X299 does not have that, nor does it have percentage levels of vdroop. Pretty simple bios to be honest.

Okay, it is the ****ty Vdroop. Had it on auto, changing to enabled brings instability which was expected. With auto I would need to raise voltage or I can leave it disabled. Why don't I have a minus 25% option, Z390 does.

So why don't you just save your OC settings you like for gaming and whatever in a profile and when your just doing surfing or non intensive stuff just set it at optimized defaults?

Screw that, I'll just spend some more time tinkering.

After all that it was an unstable mesh voltage, lol. Running P95 now at seems I can get away with CPU 1.21v. My bad for not doing each one at a time.
