Unpopular opinion regarding Elite Queue:  throw elite members who already got a card to the back of the queue.  You've got elite member bragging that they've gotten 5+ cards while the rest of us are stuck with 0.  What people even need with 5+ cards is beyond me unless they're a scalper or a miner.  If you got a card, congrats, enjoy your sweet 3xxx gaming experience and welcome to the back of the line while the rest of us 0'ers try to get our 1st card.  I know it won't happen ... just wishful (and probably unpopular) thinking.

lol limit one per household but of every card.. i feel the same as you though.. if we had to just pick one card we wanted that would vastly reduce the number of ques per card.

That is the reason retailers in my country have policy one graphics card in whole category per month now (which is not enforced of course).

People that auto notify many cards are scalpers, the huge percentage of PC enthusiast are scalpers and miners (who else should be indeed). I am not, I auto notified only one card that I wanted, I got it, I have it in my PC, I play games with it (Control)
It would be nice if people could show cards from Evga in their PCs :-) I doubt that someone has 5 PCs.

I think the same, it should be one per account.

For sure. Once you get a card, all your auto notifies should be wiped out and you have to reapply to get into the queue.

Limit elite members to those who bought cards not every peep who makes a 100 posts. Get rid of those people

Who are these people that get 5 cards?

Like, I'm signed up to a bunch of queues but none of them ever had a notify.

People that auto notify many cards are scalpers

I'm sure there are a fair number of people in the que for scalping purposes.  At the very least the que system will allow more gamers to get their hands on cards than what BB doesn't do to control that.  People who have these huge 10+ ques on their lists that they put into their signatures are automatically suspect to me.

TrekCZ
the huge percentage of PC enthusiast are scalpers and miners (who else should be indeed)

That statement is offensive.  I have been a PC enthusiast for a long time.  I don't mine but I don't care if people do that on their PCs.  Only mining farms are annoying to me.  I also don't scalp anything.  Scalpers are world class A holes.  Always have been and always will be.  I don't care what stupid reason someone give for why they scalp.

TrekCZ
I doubt that someone has 5 PCs.

Well I gave someone a hard time in another GPU forum here since they were basically humble bragging about the number of 30 series cards they had run through and complaining about how frustrated he was that he couldn't get an AMD 5900X and "only" had a 5800X.  So yes some people here are in that boat of getting a lot of 30 series cards where a lot here haven't even seen one.

a lot of people are signing up for multiple queues to increase their chances of getting ANY card. they sign up for them all, take the first one they can get, then cancel the rest.

Except they don't cancel and even sign up for new queues after they get their card, you will see lots of people queuing up for new queues with a 30XX card already in their signature. When you ask them about it, they get all offended saying the other card is for their children, family, neighbors, etc. So yes there are a lot of people getting multiple cards per household and it should always have been 1 card (not SKU) per household...

So I game, the husband games, our two teenage boys (17/15) game, and my oldest daughter who is turning 9 is ALREADY asking me about a computer build, and I am more than certain our youngest daughter at 6 will ask for a computer sometime too. My husband was running a GT710 on his 5820 X99A build until just recently when I won a Newegg shuffle for a MSI 3060. I am running a Radeon 7600 on my 5800x build because I love my husband and wanted to upgrade his GPU first. Now I have plans to get him upgraded, I am still hunting for a GPU for myself, I want to build my two boys computers, and I would love to have computers my girls would be able to use for years for gaming and school work. We currently have 5 tower PCs, and three laptops. Three towers have GPUs (3060, GT710, and Radeon 7600) Two of them are running iGPU, and they work just enough for school work. I am the one that buys things for our family, so limiting someone to only one GPU per household is kind of a crappy move for someone like me who needs to get at least 4 more GPUs. At least they are doing what they can to try and prevent bots from taking all the inventory.

I have 18 cards in my notify list......I have three computers....will continue to have a huge notify list until all three computers are taken care of.  In reality....15 of those cards I will never have a shot for

Just curious, you don't think it's wrong that you want 5 30XX GPUs for your household when there are so many others who can't even get one? See i want to understand your point of view that you want to build a gaming CPU for all of your children but then you have to look at the others who can't even get one. In a household, if you have even one 30XX GPU, you guys can experience the latest RT games meanwhile so many of us won't even get the chance until the shortage is over...

I guess this is just a topic where you will think you are in the right for wanting multiple GPUs but the others who don't have even one will think they are in the right to want to limit GPUs per household...

I think this is part of the problem in that you have thousands, tens of thousands (or hundreds lol) of people signed up for every card, and so when they do eventually get a purchase notification email, how many of those go unanswered and now you have a card sitting idle for 8hours.  I did get a notification for a 3080 back in November but I missed the email because of work, and so unfortunately that card sat idle for 8hours and I'm someone who would have jumped on that card asap. But how many notifications to purchase do go unanswered for a variety of reasons, be it missed email, no longer needed etc... I bet the biggest hold up to this whole que is the 8hrs.

It's a luxury item. If he's able to get his kids a card using the same tools as everyone else then his kids are just as deserving as the guy who didn't get in queue in time.  There is no need to ration luxury items.

Where did it sound like i was not calm? I am simply trying to explain my point of view as well as the others. Remember when i said the people buying multiple GPUs are the first to get offended, this is a classic example of that. Anyways, this discussion will never get anywhere, everyone (including me) feels entitled to what they want so there really is no point in this discussion...

A good approach would be to first scap this 100 post count, I got my elite membership though purchases and so that's how they should reward customers. But more importantly, for every  new launch, they should drop the que, and send out Purchase Emails in batches, starting with the earliest Elite Member to X amount, give that group a few hours to purchase, and then move on. When stock is depleted, then add the groups to a que but in the same order.

I don't see the issue. She and her children are just as deserving as anyone else.

Also, to whoever said that people that get a card don't cancel their other queue entries, you're wrong. It's always a bad idea to make blanket statements.
