I see a lot of sob stories peppered with some success stories this morning. My intent here is to consolidate information for people to quickly reference. That being said, and as the title states, whom among us was able to snag either a 3080 or 3090 from the EVGA webstore? If so, did you get it on launch day or a subsequent resupply? How long did it take you? How many tries? What type of payment method did you use? And be sure to add any other pertinent information (tips?) you think may help someone who is still trying to get their hands on a 3000 series from EVGA.

I'll go first:

I struck out on the launch for the 3080 and the two (that I know of) resupply drops on the EVGA site. I couldn't get the store to even load before the items were sold out on any of those 3 instances.

Today, however, was different. I managed to snag myself a 3090 FTW. The confirmation email states that my order was placed around 6:08AM Pacific time, and I went about doing the order via the elite member page and used PayPal as my payment method. I likely started trying to get the card on the EVGA site at 6:01/6:02 AM.

Now, while I got a few server errors during this time, I was able refresh ad nauseum and get the respective page(s) to load eventually, allowing me to progress to the next step. I should note that I tried for the more expensive card first, however that one became sold out during the checkout process, in between refreshes.

I was able to navigate back to the elite member page again and try for the less expensive FTW card (there were only two options on the elite member page at any point in time). To my surprise, I was able to add to cart, at which point I went through the gauntlet of refreshing broken pages, etc. Finished with the PayPal page and got to the confirm order page on the EVGA site. This is where it got sketchy. When I tried to confirm order the page would just reload without giving me an updated message. I tried for a few minutes (maybe 5) by constantly refreshing but that never changed.

At that point, I had given up hope and went back to bed. As I was plugging my phone in I got an email/text from PayPal that I made a payment to EVGA but nothing from EVGA proper, so I took that with a grain of salt. I woke up about 2 hours later and double checked my member profile just out of curiosity. Sure enough, under pending orders, I saw my 3090! I still didn't want to hold my breath given the horror stories I've read about cancelled orders, but since then I have now received two separate emails from EVGA. One for my order and the second informing me that my order is processing for shipment. I guess that's as solid of a confirmation that I can get until it's physically here. Anyway, that's my story. How about you?

BTW, I should note that I first tried newegg as I hit "refresh" 10 seconds before 6am. The timing was perfect as the page refreshed just as it turned 6 and I was able to add to cart. Clicked on PayPal for my payment info and got an error stating that the item was sold out. I checked the other listings on egg and they were also all sold out. This all occured within 90 seconds of the launch. Comparing the two sites, I can conclude that: A) The Newegg website ran MUCH smoother than the EVGA site. B) Given how much time I wasted on the EVGA site (wasn't the first site I tried, had to back out of a sold out order, multiple refreshes between pages, etc) I was surprised I got one. It must be that EVGA did something right when setting up the elite member purchases for these cards (or I got extremely lucky).

I got a 3090 FTW3 Ultra using Micro Center's **redacted** WiFi while waiting inline. Also got a MSI Ventus 3090 at the micro center. Probably will sell the Ventus once the FTW3 Ultra comes in!

I am getting a 3080 FTW3 ULTRA through the step up program.

Nope.  And this whole launch has been so maddening that I’m seriously considering getting a big Navi instead, something that I would never have even thought I’d consider a couple of weeks ago.  I built an entirely new computer around the 3080 - mostly finished with it today, but yeah might end up going with Big Navi, and I have never bought anything AMD before in my life.  Pretty irritated.

No I tried pretty hard. I had a 3080 in my cart several times and even made it all the way through the paypal system twice and then it crashed. I was able to get some 3090s in my cart on Bets Buy but they were out by the two seconds it took to get to the payment area. Teh demand is just too great for the available cards. 
 

I got hundreds of them, up until the place order button part of the buy.

By 8am in the morning there were about 100 people outside. Overnight there were about 30~ish.

No, didnt get a 30xx card.

Failed to finish checkout for 3080s at newegg, bestbuy, and evga last week, yesterday failed to finish checkout for the 3080 FTW3s yesterday.

Today it took 50 minutes starting at 9am EST to make it through and COMPLETE AN ORDER for a 3090 FTW3 Ultra, so I got one on the way. Thank God that is over.

Well... yeah... kind of a D*CK move bruh... I mean, nothing against it and all, but really you bought two and are only going to use one. ***So kiddies, all of you that can't get a card, need to send guys like this some hate mail; only fair!
 
Personally I don't care either way, I'm waiting for the dust to settle; my RTX2080 ultru does me fine for anything I play right now. 

Fair point. At the same time I waited outside with no piss or poop break for 18hrs and that is how I am 3rd in line (yeah first guy camped out 2 days before!) To all the haters, you just gotta work for it harder.
 
That FTW3 Ultra was a pleasent surprise. I got the voucher at 7:30am. While waiting for the store to open I just joined the rest of the campers to refresh EVGA website like a mad man after 9am EST. I guess it is pure luck I got one after about 2 mins of failure to add in cart.

Being in New York, the launch time meant being stuck in prime morning hours at work, in traffic driving to a job. So crappy cell phone browser was my only way of ordering. I have really wanted a 3090 and had a handful of stores open on several pages ready to be refreshed. Evga was all out within seconds. Amazon didnt even populate. Newegg had a couple cards pop up, models I didn't even want to be honest but I was desperate at the time. I was able to click on add to cart, but by the time my browser loaded, the message stated the items in your cart are no longer available. I think that was even worse than flat out missing the chance. The only remaining hope is that the EVGA 3090 hydro copper, which is what I actually wanted, was not even an option yet.

i got a 3080 Xc3 Ultra on EVGA's store altering refreshing for 15 mins. showed in stock around 9:15am EST on launch day and I was able to checkout. It arrived yesterday and is working great so far.
