I called Customer Services in case they were able to offer any ETA (had a spare 20 minutes at work).
She couldn't give me an update or my position in the queue, unsurprisingly; I knew it was a long shot.
But her s****ing throughout the call kinda reflected the companies stance on this; they don't care. Understandable again, they have a business to run, but surely the smart option would have been to not allow Step-Up on cards purchased following the release of 30 series, as a lot of us used this as a way of getting around the scalper/bot situation.
Disappointing.

The boat to get an Ampere card with any semblance of SRP has long since sailed. Prices are just ridiculous in the EU now. 1.1-1.4K for 3080s, 2-2.4K for 3090s, 700-900+ for 3070s... There is no choice but to stick with this atm unless you want to purposely want to fuel these retailers ripping off everyone at scalper prices.

Based on the new red warning message in the step up system, basically saying "please dont ring, we dont have answers", im guessing 99% of their phone calls and emails are probably dealing with people like your call

My 6 month wait would be 3rd week of March... It's still before April the 16th price increase. I really do hope they deliver though. It's sad we have no news from those next in line from last year. It's been over two months and zero movement.

At least you guys saw some movement in the beginning. I'm in the 3070 queue from launch day and it did not move at all, there were no 3070's shipped in over 3 months.

Bought a waterblock for my 2080Ti as I'm shifting my system off AIO to a single loop. I think given my queue position it's more than likely I'm like 3-6 months out anyway lol. By the time its my turn I'll be delighted to buy a 3080 waterblock anyway Is the EVGA 3080 in the step up a custom PCB? edit - Found my own answer, it is!

I registered my evga 3070 xc3 black which was bought for 619€ early November from Alternate.de for step up for the 3080 ftw3 ultra for 829€. 1 Step confirmation came in 13.Nov.2020 at 16:09 Almost 5 months passed and still no news.  Anyone elses from Germany moved forward in the meantime? This is for evga.eu Germany I have read people in USA have got some cards from simple queue without card. I assume EVGA won't send any 3080 as long 3070 will keep costing like 900€ which means basically a free upgrade to the 3080 ftw3 ultra.  Is the OP even updating his post anymore ? Still nothing since defamk (DE) 19:38 17/12/2020 18/12/2020 Complete ? Almost 3 months passed and it still didn't move an inch thats inacceptable !

With the current 3080 prices a 3090 at SRP looks good. But they are 2.2K up now in the EU...  I would sell my 2070 I used for the Step-Up but it has already been RMA'd once and the replacement card has a defective LED and recently it hasn't been able to run even at default settings for GPU heavy games (temps don't exceed 65, average low 60s) without fans set a 100%. I've only been holding on to it because shipping for LED issues for a card that will be replaced soon seems impractical but we have another month till the 6 month mark and then 2 weeks left before a price increase...

There has been nothing to update outside of people dropping out of the queue. EVGA have practically abandoned Europe for the Step-Up program, with no movement for any members here for months.

Mine is currently listed for 839 incl. VAT (21% BE) So at 772 excl. VAT that would be x 1.21 = 934 Eur whew!  At the very least please have tons of stock by April 16th for sandbagging this...

I have been waiting since October 3, 2020 and hope to get the card before April 16, 2021 because it will then be 60€ more expensive. But if this continues, there will be nothing with an 3080 before the year end ...
