Personally I’d abandon step up, it’s easy enough to get 3080s now if you subscribe to some stock alerts, I’ve had 3 in order until I got my Amazon ftw3 order.

stock alerts??? LOL... I have been trying that for a month.. have yet to be able to get to the site before bots or people quicker then me.
What EVGA is doing is the only way to get the card you want without paying 2, 3 or more times the list price.

As far as we are aware, no one in Europe has made it to step 2 yet. I'm currently 23 in queue for a TUF so that may win for me.

I read a lot about delays during launch cycles before I got my Step-Up, so all of these delays are very expected.
Got my 2070s just so I could Ray-Trace Cyberpunk (with DLSS).
Very happy with 2070s perf as I have a 60hz monitor for my work.

Cancelled my step up and sent the 2080 super back to amazon. Tonight I managed to pick up a palit from amazon which is coming on Monday.
Would have like to stick with evga but the complete silence was worrying. Add to that the cost of sending the card to German and it really wasn’t making sense to wait.

I would lose money by not staying with the Step-Up program. I have no life and death situation to have a 3080 my 2070 is running decent for most titles at 1440p I can wait.

Like most buying a new off the shelf 3080 isn't financially viable so i can wait for whenever the queue gets around to me, whether that's next year or not makes no difference to me.

I entered step up step 1 on 19th September. At this rate I am thinking I will switch to a 3070 instead when details are released later this week, hoping better traction on that SKU than this.

Bots and Scalpers will be watching the 3070 like hawks. AMD cards should help with saturation though.

Don’t know how you can say that, with the delayed launch supposed to be due to increasing stock levels on launch.
Seeing how EVGA treat European consumers, 40 plus days and still no recipient for Step Up, Joining a 3070 Step UP Queue puts me back a similar period there.
Shame no one at EVGA can be bothered to clarify Step Up for EU, when some stock will likely be allocated.
Heard about good customer service but haven’t seen any so far.

just bought a 2060 KO for 289€ on Amazon, since I was so clever to sell my 2080 Ti on ebay and made 623,27€ after ebay and paypal fees. (I really thought Amazon would send me the 3080 soon lol)
At least I have a Graphics card and 334,27€ more on my bank account :D
Have also the option to send the card back to Amazon until end of january 2021.

Might quit the step up and go in to a 3070 step up when available.
step up deleted, now happy 3080 Founders Edition owner from Notebooksbilliger.de drop on friday (they had a 10+ minutes drop with around 500 cards for germany, austria and netherlands)

Great to see AMD out swinging. However all of there stock will be sold out in moments, bots and scalpers will be smelling a new crypto boom with that sweet TDP.
No ray-tracing benches is very telling about their Gen1 iterations.
I have my whole entertainment system built around a Shield so I'm stuck with team green.
Would definitely consider AMD this time around though.
Also; no answer to DLSS is a bit of a cop-out in regards to long term perf gains.

Not being funny but you can’t have been trying very hard, I’ve got my 8th 3080 coming Friday as been sourcing them for my mates. There are numerous discord’s & telegram groups with bots that scan amazon and post notifications when stock lands within seconds so just a case of hitting add to basket. It was only because I specifically want the ftw3 ultra that I held o it so long but I got one of those on amazon too eventually. Have an xc3 coming Friday and a FE tomorrow, both orders today alone. Really isn’t that hard to get a 3080 if you know where to look
