jonnyratcliffeYeah its becoming a bit of a joke now that not one person has had a step 2 email.
MilanB98Yeah it's a total joke, Jacob told me on Twitter that it's still "Pending"... They are screwing EU costumers.
Juicer-19MilanB98Yeah it's a total joke, Jacob told me on Twitter that it's still "Pending"... They are screwing EU costumers.Oh so dramatic. They are not screwing EU customers. You're in the queue and guaranteed a card. That's more than a lot of people can claim. There's at least 100 names on the NA thread ahead of EU. A queue is a queue. Just because this forum separated the threads between NA and Europe doesn't mean that EVGA separated the queue between the 2 regions.
EVGAfan587Not having separate queues for EU and NA doesn't make the least bit of sense unless there is a complete disregard for EU customers. Considering EU is not moving at all, it might actually be a thing.
MilanB98Sure, i get that i'm "Dramatic. But regarding information or how they are handling the queue is almost non excistent. Just some critisism.

A queue is a queue. First in, first out. Check your step 1 confirmation email and you will know what place you are in line.

Considering EU is not moving at all, it might actually be a thing.Idk, I think that perspective isn't fair to EVGA. They seem wholesome in their attempts to satisfy their customers. Maybe they pushed EU off a couple days because processing those step ups will be way more difficult and a longer process that would hold up the queue in general, given the state of the world in 2020. So maybe they did that to push more through quickly with one week turnarounds. So I am about 30 names down on the NA list, but still 2 days ahead on the EU. I am not saying it is fair you guys have to wait longer, but it also wouldn't be fair to folks like me if people started getting processed sooner even though they're 2 days back in queue. Not a great sitiuation, but it seems EVGA is doing their best and having this program at all is a blessing. Good luck everyone. Hope we all get to enjoy this card sooner rather than later.

joey_ukThis is getting a bit of a joke now. Been over 3 weeks since they opened the step up and it seems nothing has happened in Europe at all.

I feel like they may have had a reason to do it, though. I wouldn't say " no reason" as if EVGA just hates EU customers and wants to make them suffer or something. I don't know the process for sure, but I imagine it goes something like this. When EVGA is processing a step-up, they have to send the customer a package to return. This will happen much faster for their NA based customers. Those customers send the cards in, EVGA likely receiving most of a batch at one time, allowing them to go through the process of approving the returns much more efficiently. They can then ship out new 3080s almost directly to each customer. With EU, the mail will take a bit longer. The entire process will be slowed down if they have half a batch going to EU. It's likely they would prefer to do the entire EU batch at one time instead of mixing them in with the NA step-ups. So, I imagine, they delayed the EU step-ups for 2 days to simplify the process for themselves. This likely will result in a dependable amount of step-ups being processed each week instead of a very staggered shipping process. That's my guess as to why they did it. I just don't think they would do it for "no reason" though.
CraptacularOneMan, all this pissing and moaning and jealousy over unfounded nonsense. They are filling step up orders in the order they received them. You will get your card when it's your turn in line, not before, not because you cried and whined about it, but only when it's your turn. There is no conspiracy, they aren't purposely screwing over anyone in the EU. The best I can tell they've got about 23 min into the que after it was made available. That's also not to say it's all the people in the que, just the small number of people who have bothered to post their status. There is a STAGGERING number of people in the step up que for a 3080. I know this because I called and inquired about it because I too am in the que day one (sept 17th) at 10:35am. They wouldn't give me a number but they said they've never seen close to this many people in the que for a card, ever. Stop whining, stop posting nonsense conspiracy theories. This is just an unprecedented event and with the world in the shape it's in from the pandemic and supply chains limited, it's the reality we are all living in. You will get your card, but you will get it when it's your turn.

What is it with Americans coming into this thread posting nonsense.
