They processed my card and shipped the new one now. I will do a final update when it arrives in a few days!

My old card was delivered on Friday and confirmed yesterday.
The notification for the new card and tracking number was sent today.

No movement on my package at all.
 
I've contacted UPS and they were less than helpful.  I was informed that the "clearance" can only be given by EVGA and I cannot be told what that is and until that point it will be held.
 
This is of no use to me when I only have 14 days to get the card to them and 7 of those have elapsed with the card in the UPS warehouse in Cologne.
 
Next step before panicking is to try and get in touch with EVGA about some sort of extension, if possible.

I think there is common sense within EVGA camp on this, they know things have sometimes taken weeks to get through, 4 was told to me which puts you outside the normal process.

I had those concerns too initially, what if it doesn’t arrive in time. They told me on the phone they will honour the stepup and they understood the difficulty. Give them a call or support message, I hope they will be supportive and ease stress. I do find it odd your card is not moving how i would expect, if the label said DDP they would contact sender for customs clearance if they felt it was wrong, the sender is responsible on those terms.

I do find it odd, as DDP is a company or seller thing, I spoke to my local MP yesterday, to raise the potential to have returned goods managed better. I think if the receiver authorises the return and it can be deemed genuine as a return. Then there is no duty or tax to pay, end off.

I know the flip side is people exploiting this for normal shipping which is why all the gift values changed recently etc. That was the old loop hole, but I think there must be a better way. I will be putting some suggestions forward.

I did manage to get through to EVGA and they said that they will honour the step up as the customs issues are outside of everyones control.
 
It's just a shame mine got snagged or highlighted for whatever reason and held at customs.  I've not had any contact with UPS outside of the calls I've made myself and as they are unwilling to divulge what information they need I am officially in Limbo.

UPS picked-up package today at my place. Should arrive to EVGA on Thursday morning.
Hopefully I'll receive the 3080 by the end of next week... 

Got my 3080 Yesterday to. The "Active" Part of the Step Up Take around a Week. Every Step was very good explained. Thank you EVGA for this amazing Method!

Bonkers yours still got through but UPS are still sat on mine.  I'd rather pay the charges myself and get this moving.

That's a hard pill to swallow mate...I sent mine from the UK on Monday and the new card has just been dispatched. I followed DataNodes instructions as well so I cant understand why they are making a mess of yours.

Well… if you‘d take a look at the first page you’d see that some of the people who wrote here (and a lot more who didn’t) already received their cards.
But enjoy your hate

only 19/09/2020 got cleared which is 1 day after launch good ****ing job not.

I received my card and its gorgeous and working fine :)
For me stepup was a satisfieing experience: Yes the waiting time was long, but sincerely before they contacted me i had already forgotten about this since atleast November. So maybe stay calm and use what you have eventually time will resolve the problem hopefully before 3080s become obsolete ;)

Sept. 20 please this month? 2:39am shouldn't be too much before me I guess. Still @ Step 1, feeling hopeful to get to Step 2 sometime this month.

The EVGA site shows them pricing VAT in, which means you are paying it twice. In fact you are paying VAT on your VAT if they are charging you when it comes in. 

No idea, this is the 3080 step up queue and that's completly different to the notify queue.
