Finally got my card today, Step 1 was release day at 6:16AM PST.
How many days did it take you from step 2 to card in hand?
Steps 2-5 were on 11/24. Since it was right before a 4-day weekend I opted to wait to send in my current card until 11/30. EVGA received it on 12/3, a Thursday. They shipped it yesterday 12/7 and it arrived around 5pm EST today.

12/11 new gpu is delayed 1 city away from me. Paid for next day air, card is 5 miles from me, but UPS messed up and won't get it til next week.

My card is supposed to arrive the 17th. And I was in queue for a hybrid kit, which looks to be arriving the same day haha.
I'll probably sit on it for awhile to get a sense for how my card performs in air before putting the hybrid kit on.

hey sorry to bring bad news, but heads up, the 3070 ftw doesn't fit the conversion kit. Unless they made a 3070 specific one I don't know about. GA 104 chip has different dimensions from ga102 in 3080/3090. There is just no way the mounting bracket will fit. Definitely return it now while you can.

I am a bit worried something will break in this process.. I got step 4 last night at 6:30PM PST but no news on Step 5.
I see an RMA number on the my product page but the next step is verifying transaction.
My impression is that Step 5 has the shipping details and official RMA number. Can anyone confirm this? If so typically how long should step 5 take after payment?

In the email after you pay, it says 1-2 business days, so be patient, it's coming. I'm waiting for it too and I paid yesterday. Edit: Less than an hour after my original post, got step 5 at 11:47 AM Pacific today. Old card is shipped, EVGA will receive tomorrow morning. Would be awesome to get it back on Friday, but will likely be next week.

I don't think the point of the program was intended to help people avoid shortages of new cards. It was a courtesy to help protect people against a new card coming out right after they bought theirs. So yeah you probably should have just purchased the card you wanted.

Personally I figured this process would take its time. The reason for me to do the EVGA step-up program though was the convenience of not having to try to beat scalpers / bots. The fact that as soon as you are entered into the queue, the time halts and you are promised a card once available. I do not have to go store by store looking for one and that alone is very appealing. As mentioned above though, this program was not really designed just to get your hands on the latest card on day one, its for people who purchased a graphics card and would have the option to get a better one for upgrade upon release depending on stock.
