I just installed this MB, and I ran the drivers, but I still have a few unknown devices?

At first, I didn't because it kept saying I was downgrading the driver because a newer one was installed already, but I finally did it anyway after installing all the other ones. Why it is telling me I am downgrading is a wonder, but anyway I did, and it got rid of all of them except for the Unknown Device, that one is still there.

What is the hardware id for the unknown one? e.g. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1B06&SUBSYS_67983842&REV_A1

That did it. I found the setting for that feature in the BIOS and disabled it. It was set to Software Enabled and had an environment of 128MB. Since I don't do any programming, I do not need to have it enabled.

    Thanks!

Always install the drivers from the hardware or chip maker first, that way when windows in it's infinite dimbness updates them everything will work.

When doing a new MB or system install - I make sure the Ethernet cable is removed and  put 2 knots in the cable just to be sure to choke off any Microsoft shenanigans ;-)
