I am trying to purchase a 3 year extended warranty, for my graphics card, from the UK, but when directed to PayPal for payment, the only option is to use a UnionPay card? I've never heard of this type of card before and expected to be able to use my Visa or Mastercard as with every other purchase I've ever made.

Can someone please advise?

This is the issue I am facing

EDIT: For anyone facing the same issue, I added my bank account as a payment method to my Paypal account and it has since worked.

It appears to be a Chinese banking company with online banking and credit/debit cards and is the largest on the world.. I never heard of it until now either.

Hi, I can't buy either an extended warranty for my GPU. Every single credit/debit card I have returns the message: "The merchant doesn't accept this card". I've already sent a mail to evga support, let's see if they give me a solution.

I am located in Romania and can't top up the PP balance since they deactivated the only top up service (Trustly) for this country... It seems that PP is a very crappy service...

You could try using incognito mode or another browser. If that continues to give you an issue, I'd suggest just reaching out to the EU customer service team during their business hours.

EU EVGA gave me a solution!

So, you need to accessible PayPal accounts.

    1. make a payment via paypal.me link from one to another account (in this step you may not have a PayPal balance and as a result PayPal will draw directly cash from the preferred card). Since I'm in Romania I had my Paypal proffered currency EUR and preferred card Revolut.
    2. use the PayPal balance of the receiver account (in the step 1) to pay the warranty.

P.s. There were no commission. I've sent a higher amount (52 EUR) but you may send the exact amount, in my case was 49,17 EUR. In total there are two transactions to be made, none of them being subject to PayPal commission.

I hope it is clear enough.
