First time posting in the forums but I haven't been able to find a solution otherwise and hoped someone here could help.

I've been using 10 series cards for close to a year now (had a 980, upgraded to a 1070 then to the current EVGA GTX 1080 FE)
Ever since nVidia GFE removed the LED Visualizer functionality, I have been using the nVidia LED Visualizer to control the logo LED on my GPU. I have used this because despite otherwise being able to use PXOC for everything else, I have never been able to access the LED Sync button or LED tabs in settings.
Up until now, the LED Visualizer program direct from nVidia has worked without issue, but this weekend I rebuilt my PC into an SFF build and now I have no access to the XOC settings (which I already couldn't use) nor am I able to install the LED Visualizer freshly downloaded from the GeForce site. (gives an error saying .NET Framework isn't installed but .NET is updated to latest version)

Does anyone have any idea why neither program will allow me to access the LED controls, despite every other aspect of the card being operable?

Thanks, JeT

A model number would be helpful to answer your question, but if this is the model card you have, then the logo isn't RGB, only white. > https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=365887af-bcc8-4b94-b123-5751a3569549
If that's the case, that's why you're having trouble trying install the Visualizer and the Appearance LED is greyed out in PXOC.

This is the correct model, with the fixed white (well, green) LED, but I HAVE been able to control the illumination previously, though only the on/off state (with animations such as breathing, flashing, etc.)
I assume my only option to operate it with the nVidia LED Visualizer (being an FE card) since that was what worked with my old hardware configuration, so I'm continuing to attempt troubleshooting the .NET issue which disallows it installing

UPDATE:
I was able to get the LED Visualizer program to work after unpacking the installer and bypassing the installation process to disregard the .NET check since it's already updated to a more recent version

If anyone else has the same issue, I used 7zip to extract the NVLEDVisualizer folder and opened the program from there. It appears to be working without issue now

Maybe you need to enable the older net framework for it to work how you're used to.  Maybe this will help you troubleshoot. > https://www.groovypost.com/howto/enable-net-framework-2-windows-8/

Thanks for chiming in. I'm gonna leave the thread up cause there's nothing more frustrating than googling a problem and finding someone with the exact same issue who just replied "NVM fixed"

Precision xoc's appearance/thermal menus aren't available on the FE models.

Glad to hear that you were able to get the NVIDIA LED Visualizer working. Also, a big thank you for posting the solution to the issue too. I also hate it when trying to look up an answer and the OP posts something generic like "fixed now." Great information!

I noticed the OP was trying to install an older version 1.0 of the Visualizer. There's a new version 1.1. See if that will install correctly for you.

Well, I had found a solution that worked with that 1.0 installer but this is even better! I guess I must not have looked in the right places since I'd only been able to find the 1.0 installer. This one installed without issue, so thank you very much!

You're doing what I used to do before they came out with the separate app. I'd just copy the folder out of the extracted driver. I have it on another drive and it still works fine that way too.
