    Laptop part number ?

Going for a dual boot option or straight Ubuntu ?

Possibly buy a second SSD would be the safest way

Not sure if there would be Driver issues with the touch pad or other hardware

I need dual boot. Is there an expandable slot for the second SSD on this model?

I just ordered it. I traveling a lot, cant afford both laptop and desktop. I need some computing power to test my deep learning algo's. And I don't intend to use this for complete training (just to test them). So, settled with EVGA SC 17 1070 without G-sync.

What about just creating a ubuntu/centos vm that runs in windows before you try doing a dual boot? I'm currently doing that now, my stuff in coldfusion/ruby/postgres run fine, almost on par with my 6850K desktop.

Windows Subsystem for Linux is another option

Benchmarks show it is mostly on par with running Ubuntu natively (and therefore better than VMs) except for storage. If you're mostly working on trained networks then that shouldn't be an issue for you.
