Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will now be released on November 10th on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox Series S/X. This change allows Ubisoft to launch Assassin's Creed Valhalla as an Xbox Series S/X launch title. Previously, Assassin's Creed Valhalla was due to release on November 17th on PC, Xbox One, Stadia and PlayStation 4. Now, gamers on these platforms can expect to play the latest Assassin's Creed title one week earlier.

Xbox One owners of Assassin's Creed Valhalla will also be able to upgrade to the game's Xbox Series X/S version for free whenever they upgrade to one of Microsoft's next-generation systems. At this time, it is unknown what framerate or graphical benefits next-generation systems will offer with Assassin's Creed Valhalla, aside from faster loading times.

I'm curious to see if the game plays well on PC.

When others have had to post pone their triple a titles, Ubisoft has managed to move this one up. I'm confident it's going to play well on pc having some of the innards of the last two, Odyssey and Origin. I just hope there's enough to differentiate itself from those two.

My thoughts exactly.  Although I typically wait a bit after launch to see reviews before buying.  I am looking forward to it as I really enjoyed Odyssey & Origins.

I haven't played an Assassin's Creed game in years. I think Valhalla looks like a good title to jump back into the series with.

I really liked Origins and Odyssey. Looking forward to Valhalla, but i read that they're not going for an over all story arc? Just... random stories you run across while playing the game. If that's true, very strange.

That sounds...bloody awful.  The biggest draw for me to Origins/Odyssey was the main story, certainly not the Diablo 2 hack and slash gameplay.

Luckily it's only one week so probably not a huge rush but I wish publishers didn't rush games. I would be happy to wait a week to have it done right.

Good news but more pressure on getting a 3080 to be able to play normally. The previous one on the 2080 was one of the rare games that ran below 75fps on 1440p for me.

I'm stuck in my ways but I say everything pre Origins was the best (except the graphics)  To me Assassin's Creed is dead and we have a spin off series starting with Origins that is simply set in the Assassin's Creed universe.  I play it now just for the story and lore.

I think it was a newer game play style at the time that helped. The mechanics haven't changed much and devs dont put a lot of time for puzzles and focus on the action.

I need ro catch up. I was at the end of syndicate. Haven't played after that. My fav was the 2 trilogy, rogue and black flag. The ship combat was a nice new addition
