And the fun continues. Scheduled a Priority Fail pickup for yesterday. They never turned up, despite the confirmation email. Scheduled again for today. I just received another email saying they have picked it up, except they haven't. I've scheduled another pickup for tomorrow. It should have been delivered tomorrow! What the hell am I paying over $50 in shipping fees for??? The guy who usually does the pick ups here is pretty dependable (which is surprising for USPS) - I'm guessing they have someone new who is just marking things as picked up but not doing it so they can go home early. Wonder if they will turn up tomorrow...

Update: I found a way to contact USPS via email, wrote to them with the 3 different pickup order numbers, and about 30 minutes later I get a phone call saying they can pick it up in about 5-10 minutes, and they did! Amazing - something at USPS actually works. Who knew? It wasn't the usual guy, which I suspect has something to do with it. Anyway, the package is on the way.

Glad to hear (and shocked) that someone called you back.

An update from my buddy who works at the USPS as a letter carrier:  He tells me that they are so short handed that if you finish your route at a normal time and head back to the depot, they load you up with another half route of mail and send you back out to do a partial vacant or sick call-out route.  So now everyone just sandbags their route so the depot supervisor doesn't send them back out.. Making the problem even worse.  Not the letter carrier's fault, it's top level management and even more so our bad government administration of the USPS.
