The only thing I can find about this is in the Event Viewer-
Error setting traits on Provider {8444a4fb-d8d3-4f38-84f8-89960a1ef12f}. Error: 0xC0000001
This only started happening after I installed my 3070 ftw ultra
I've tried just about everything I can find to fix it, using DDU, sfc, dism, memory health check, and it still happens. Any other ideas, or what could be causing it?

    list your system specs please.

Are you using an AMD system or Intel?

AMD has acknowledged reports of USB disconnection issues and are looking into it. Supposedly the main cause is running the GPU at PCIE 4.0 on some B550/X570 boards. The exact CPU or GPU doesn't seem to matter.

My x570 + 3090 system has a lot of USB disconnects/reconnects while running a stress test like Prime95, otherwise it's mostly ok during normal usage so I'm not impacted that much.

Reportedly forcing your video card to PCIE 3.0 fixes it for some unknown reason so you can do that if you're desperate, and it likely won't have any real performance impact while you wait for a BIOS fix anyway.

so it's a conflict with the motherboard and the gpu?

I guess you could say that, hopefully the next AGESA update will fix it.

This problem has been caused by an AMD motherboard issue as talked about recentely.  Other issues are bad USB cables with shorts in them, as well as bad onboard case/front panel (not native plug) USB port connectors.  Even Norton has been known to cause issues (Possibly).

x570 needs a recall -- I have USB issues with mine.  This isn't the GPU's fault.

I hope the issue (that I also experience) is fixed via a Firmware update...hoping it isn't the actual hardware but rather a bug in the
    code.

I have issues like this which seem to have gotten more prevalent lately. MSI X570 Creation/3900X. But I'm running 15 USB devices for all my flight sim stuff, DACs, etc. so I expect some minor problems time to time. But when my hotas pukes when I'm trying to land on the carrier, not fun.

If you're interested...looks like it's the PCIe bus ?? weird.

For now, you may be able to fix this by toggling the PCIe mode on your graphics card to 3.0 - this should be in the BIOS somewhere.

Updating to your latest motherboard BIOS may also give you the newest AGESA and fix it.

These things worked for me back when I was playing Cyberpunk on my 3070 and my keyboard started to drop out.
