Forgive me if this is a terribly naive question. I'm a hardware noob.

I'm trying to find out if I can run two different model Nvidia GPUs on the same rig for mining purposes. I have both installed but the 950 doesn't seem to be recognized. Fans don't spin on start up and it doesn't show up in the device manager. I've tried flipping the cards between the slots and the action seems to follow the 1050ti.

EVGA GeForce GTX 950 SC+
EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 ti
970 Asus Pro Gaming Aura
Windows 10 (dual boot system)

Device Manager Diver info for GTX 1050ti
driver version: 23.21.13.8871
file version: 6.14.13.8871

Any advice?

Should work without any issues. Sounds like you got yourself a dead 950.

do each card work as a single  or the 950 just don't combined with the 1050 ?   I wonder if the driver can only recognize   the one card   being ones a pascal and ones a Maxwell   I think its why when you start a driver install it first checks hardware / system compatibility  and then detects and unpacks whats needed  to run that hardware ?

    na,  I guess its possible

''Yes you can. You could mine with 1 x 1070, 1 x 1080, 1 x 970 and 1 x 980 if you wanted to. Most people are using AMD cards because they work better for ETH but the new 10xx series cards are probably great considering how powerful they are vs how much power they use [notice in the thread the win10 guys ? ]  maybe something up in that part of things ?

just don't see that combo of cards used   you would think as sajin said if they work as normal as a single card  seems they should work ''.''   if the 950 don't work single call it a bad card  I guess

then maybe if the 950 a 2gb card and the 1050ti a 4 gb card may not match up ?   I did see someone bring that up  ?
[this guy with a 2gb card not seeming to work ??]
