I own the 3090 FTW Ultra and it seems to be a great card can oc well up to 125 core and 675 memory playing Cyberpunk 4k 60FPS card has no more left to give (Wish 4090 was closer then 2 years away thats for sure Raytracing kills performance) Ultra settings DLSS of course but i like Quality over Performance Mode with some ray tracing off for better cleaner Textures settings plays great with over 100 hours on it alone and +150 hours on other titles like Gears 5 Metro Exudus and RDR2 Its really too bad there are so many dead cards out this Series especially the overpriced FTW 3090 Ultra should have been Triple checked before being boxed and sent out really considering how much they Charged which is more then Anyone else especially the components found inside which work and do the job but are inferior quality to other high end brands which could be accounting for some of there problems?? Who know ? Nobody and nobody will ever or ever say what the underlying problem was weather it was software hardware or a combination of both ????? Just be really really happy if you do have one working model this year and give your new toy a little rub to show some gratitude to the wizard who assembled your fully functional lottery lucky Card 🥳🥳

My replacement 3090 FTW3 Ultra has the same issue with the monitor turning black and the fans spinning up to 100%.  It only happens in DX11 games, but not in DX12 games.  It does the same thing in two different computers using two different monitors.

 
thats the exact same thing my 3090 ftw did.  i played cyberpunk for about an hour, benched tomb raider in dx12/rt,  and ran a couple other RT games.  everything seemed to be stable.
 
within 15mins on witcher 3, i black screened and had my fans on 100%.    when i tried it again i had about 90 seconds into witcher 3 when the card popped.   then when i rebooted again to assess the damages, i watched the card arc and then received a red led on one of the power indicators. 

I burned my FTW3 Ultra 3090 yesterday, SAME game, GTAV but no mod.
I ran precise X to update the firmware too, enabled resizer bar.
Same symptom, suddenly black screen, 100% fan won’t stop until power off.
2nd Red light.
My card was bought in 11/2020 and I’ve finished lots of other games up until yesterday.

There must be some fault somewhere running this game on this card.
