Hey all, Been awhile since I've been here but I need your help. Yea I know....just like my mother says; "the only time i hear from you is when you need my help".  ANYWAYS! I've been using the HyperX (khx-h3clw) for years. The mic died and other issues. So anyways....I thought I give Razer a chance as I've NEVER used their products. It's a Kraken TE. Now I've always used a 3.5 plug but of course these are USB. I'm at my wits end on trying to get sound out of these so Please help. Now before you all start with the basic stuff, I've probably I've done it but I will try what you got. Thanks guy/girls...

Check your device manager and make sure the headset is recognized and that there are no yellow exclamation marks beside the hardware.

You should right-click on the speaker icon in the System Tray area to open the sound settings and make sure both the Input and Output Device is set to use your USB headphones and not still the mobo jacks, as well as what RJ said about Device Manager..There may also be drivers/software you need to install..Check the Razer Kraken TE support page.

*SIGH* Here's where I'm at: I'm getting sound. However...Not the sound that I think I should be getting. I will attach some pix and hopefully you guys/girls can piece it all together. But I will say this; When I'm directed by the software to select the THX Spatial Audio to the default, that's when I don't get sound. And that window displays the 'Jack Information' as a 3.5 plug So basically, I have to have my sound Output as indicated on the image to the default. Oh and lastly, I'm not sure if I need to 'Setup Microphone'. But if I launch 'configure' the wizard tells me that it can't find the mic. But I can hear myself when I speak into the mic.

have you checked to make sure all enchancements and spatial sounds options are turned off in speaker properties? If both windows and the razer software are trying to do spatial sound they could conflict with each other.
