Hi All,
      I've tried everything I know to get this new system up and running but I must be missing something because I've
followed all the MB instructions pertaining to first boot.  I see that most of you install windows from usb but I bought
Win 11 pro oem dvd with my processor.
 
Here is where I'm at:
System posted into bios first try. factory bios was 1.03
tried updating to bios 2.06? this failed so I backed down
and updated to 1.15 this one worked.
I have all bios settings correct as far as i know.
M.2's are enabled
Nvme drive is recognized. (this is the only drive installed)
Memory left at default speeds for now
Boot mode is uefi
Boot option 1 is set to cd/dvd
always show boot option is on
Secure boot is off
CSM disabled
I've tried leaving dvd in at power on and putting it in after machine post to bios.
dvd spins up fine but nothing happens
 
Any help would be appreciated...

Is that a NEW M.2 drive?  If you moved it from your last build, that could be a big part of the issue   M.2 is new unallocated space
 
Is it formatted GPT ?  See above answer.
 
Did you go back & try to update BIOS (to newest) again, after the older BIOS flash worked?  Afraid to after I bricked one bios chip, figured I'd cut my losses..
 
Have you tried with - Secure boot ON ? You should install a new OS with UEFI & secure boot Tried both ways...
 
Where is the DVD drive connected?  SATA or USB ..... is there a driver for the DVD drive, can you see DVD in BIOS?
Yes DVD is sata and I can see it in bios and select it as first boot device.
 
Does the DVD drive support UEFI ?  Good question, DVD is probably 8 years old
 
Try downloading the MS install tool to a USB drive & then run files from DVD ? (I've never tried this) - is your internet connection slow?  I will probably have to try this next.
 
those are my first thoughts, hope you get W11 installed

When your ready --> Boot on working BIOS, then move BIOS switch to "bricked chip"& try to update BIOS (to newest) again
 
 

 I tried this the other night after reading it in one of the threads here and it didn't work.
    I was however able to install windows after giving up on the dvd approach.  I just downloaded the media creation tool on a laptop
    and made a bootable usb...  Thank you so much for your help, and I'm guessing that my dvd player was just to old for the job.

I have tried installing windows from an external DVD drive and it has never worked. I'll have to continue to use a USB stick.

did you try unconnecting the DVD to see if you can get into the bricked bios?

Yes, thank you but it didn't matter either way...
 
Now that I have win 11 installed I'll try to overwrite the bricked bios chip through windows.  I've read here that
some of you have had success that way.

It was native intel sata port, set as first boot device.  it would spin up fine like it was gonna do
something then dump me back to bios screen...
