You have to sign up for the program but being an elite member is a requirement to sign up. If you don't have friends who game or don't think people would use your code then it' might be best to just use the discount option. If you are active on the forums or social media and people use your code it might be more savings then the discount for you. It's really win win because one way or another you are going to save money.
