Thought I would post my work unit tracking, so people could see the variation of PPD by Project. I am interested in seeing how close it matches up to my EOC PPD average after about a month. I think my biggest problem will be Windows trying to decide whats best, but I think I got that all straightened out now.

Yes HFM, then pulling the PPD it reports for the projects in the CSV output. Its pretty simple but its accurate enough for me to see a fair representation of the differences you can see project to project and with in the same project.

Showing Credit Average over PPD Average might be good to add in. Average of a single Project Number would make since if each WU gave the same PPD.

Well I just renamed my slots to my cards so I have 3 months of useless data :P but going forwards I can add some information in regards to this at least. I really hate those 941x WU's. They are useless on the 1080Ti as my 1080FTW folds at the same speed as they do on the 1080Ti. Stanford really needs to address this.

The 118xxs dont seem to be much better, I am working on adding some time context into my table. There will be a tiny bit of error since HFM only records download time and completion time . It may be a good thing since the true time for the work unit is from when its downloaded not when the GPU actually gets to start it.

Here is the latest, I will most likely only mess with this once a week or maybe less as I am not real handy with spread sheets.

I like the 11431 and 11432, unfortunately I have only gotten 4 of them so far. Ya the 94XX seem to be the majority W/U handed to me also at a rate of 3.76 94XX units to 1 114XX W/U for my 1080ti

Maybe but they are giving you more Work Units Per Day (20.093 WUs)

Lots of Data, thanks -- and keep up the updates Now if only we could get the 94XX WU to actually use the GPU to the fullest extent Not only is my PPD impacted; the wattage pulled by my cards also goes down when they run those WU

True, but you would think the more powerful cards should be doing the more intensive WU's or at least to me that makes sense haha

Yah or if F@H determined priority for bigger WU's to go to higher end cards.

Or an algorithm that tracked which slots were most efficient on each work unit and assigned more of those work units to those slots based on availability and priority. But thats Ok, I am glad to be helping hopefully they are working in the background to optimize and use our donated resources optimally. Its got to be hard with hardware and drivers always evolving.

Agreed, just as an efficiency aspect I'm sure it would benefit Stanford greatly.

Track your wattage use with the CPU along with the PPD increase, would make the information more valuable IMO

Yes, All cards are in the computer in my signature. I have a Watt meter on the line so I will add that in. Edit - With just the 1080 and 1060 folding I use right at 412 Watts from the wall.

PCIeX16_3 slot shares bandwidth with PCIeX1_1 and PCIeX1_3 LinkAMD Ryzen™ Processors2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8) so both cards are also running @ X8. You might get better performance removing the 1060 and running your 1080 Ti at X16.

Watts will Change as the WU change --> they are a Variable as different WU work the GPU to different degrees of its potential 11XXX WU work my GPUs much harder and pull more Watts than the 94XX WU

It would be interesting to see, but right now the second computer I could move the 1060 to does not have reliable internet. It will have to be a test for down the road. Right now with GPU Z I show less than 50% bus usage for both cards, but there is no telling what kind of magic voodoo happens when you run just one with a full X16 bus. I do know that I will not be CPU folding after this week long test since its looking like I will only be getting about 60,000 PPD from it but it will be good to gather the data on a week of running it. Edit - Almost forgot power usage with the cpu now folding also has gone up to 498 watts from the wall for the system.

Most Folders no longer Fold on CPUs. If you do make sure you leave one Thread for Each GPU and Fold only on 4 6 8 or 10 Threads. Do not Fold on 1 3 5 7 9 11 and so on. Do you have SMT On or Off?
