In short, NO! Not even close. It gets beat by the 10900K in most things, if it does beat it is by the slimmest of margin of error numbers, and it generally gets stomped on by the 5900X. It is being called one of the worst flagship launches in CPU history.
 
If you need a new Intel processor and you can buy it I don't know. I mean it works and stuff, it just doesn't have great performance. If it's flip-able I'd make some money on it and buy a 10900K if you want an intel CPU.

At least I can feel better , seeing that almost everything on there was near EBAY scalper pricing levels.

I got in 1st try. I don't really want the combos cause the PS's aren't powerful enough for my new build, however, I can use them to build my grand kids computers.

And I wasn't yesterday.  I don't like double posting, but I did get a look at the offerings today.  They've got a PS5, a couple of 3060s with optional bundle, 2 3070s with required bundle, and a 6700 with optional bundle.  Eh, I think I'll pass on this one.

Yeah, i wasn't satisfied with the fact they are forcing a PS purchase with a 3060, but hey, i can use it to build my Son a PC.

I sign up for the shuffle every time I can just in case I can get a card for a friend lol.
I have my own fill of cards at this point, just need to help friends out now.

I sign up every time also - but it's because I'm still trying to get a 3070 , 3080 or even 3060Ti .. for my son's upgrade .
  

Today has GPUs in the 3060-3060 Ti-3070-3080-3090 range, most of them have required combos aaaaaand... 5950x with & without combos.
 
Signed up for just the processor/processor combos cuz if I get picked, that is what I want the most by a factor of about 5000000 - I'd rather get the 5900x, but if I can get a 5950x at MSRP & have my new build be complete with the best processor I can get in said socket, why not.

I'm in for about 1/2 of the selections.... 

Got selected for the 5950x by itself.  While I would've highly preferred a 5900x in terms of being easier to cool etc, a 5950x @ $799 is too hard to pass up, so I ordered it.
 
Should be here Wednesday or Tuesday next week, depending on when they ship it.  Since I already have a 3900x sitting here waiting for the system swap to take place, I didn't see the point in paying for anything past the first level of paid shipping (I will never use Newegg's free shipping again because my HDD took almost a full 8 days to get here via that).  I was going to pay for "overnight" But as I was going to checkout that $17 shipping option went from Arriving Friday to Arriving Monday, and I'm not about to pay $17 for something to get here on Monday lol
 
I know my radiator will be up to the task because it's a freakin' monster, but I am curious how warm that thing is gonna run... don't think I plan on OCing it unless I can get a really nice all core out of it, which I doubt.
 
That 3900x is going to have one of the shortest service lives for any CPU I've ever had (that wasn't a dud), it'll be installed tomorrow, most likely, & be outta the system by the middle of next week :-D
