Where are you getting that 980’s are getting 1060’s returned exactly? I have seen a few say 970, so i may have missed the 980 posts.

TL;DR = EVGA received my parcel so i'm currently at "Next Step: Preparing to Ship Product" process but i really getting more anxious about that RMA process.  Because; I discovered some customers claimed that GTX 980 FTWs are RMA'ing with 1060 series cards
(And in my opinion, which is not acceptable as EQUAL or BETTER for GTX 980 series of cards. -see the details below-)

I've spent 703USD for a GTX 980 FTW. 1060 series are starting from 310 usd and way downgraded cards when compared to x80 / xx80 series of cards.

My RMA details are listed below who ever concern about this issue:
    RMA ID: 795063
    RMA Number:  5431180323008772

I had so much time to browse feedbacks and detailed threads about "rma issues" of some other customers while in was dealing with "cancer rma" process that took more than 1 month. At last finally my parcel arrived at EVGA.

I discovered that whoever sent out 980 for RMA, they received GTX 1060. Which is obviously not acceptable. Because xx60 series are way "downgraded" series when compared to x80 or xx80. This comparison does not even need any further explanation. Do not try to argue that with "better oc capabilities" or "bigger numbers are better" theory. They are all irrelevant. I can provide lots of technical infos and comparision tests about these issues.

I wanted to choose a word carefully about this "980s rma'ed with 1060s" issue but; all i wanna say is this is not "fair" and "acceptable for rightness and EU laws. None of EU Laws neither EVGA RMA Policy has a valid codification that allowing to this. And also according to latest court decisions like these issues. Bigger numbers does not mean better or equal cards. I hope these claims by customers are not real and i hope i wont get any xx60 series of cards for my beloved GTX 980 FTW.

I really won't accept and refuse if they send me out xx60 for a GTX 980 FTW card. Cause i'll have to pay extra tax for even it's a returning RMA card. I spent totally 703$ when i bought gtx 980 so 1060 is never ever equal or better than 980 FTW. At least is should be 980, 980 ti, 1070 or above. So, help me.

    THANKS!

    Hello,

Please keep in mind that we will attempt to send you the same part number, that you sent us, first. If we do not have any of the same part number available, we will send a card with EQUAL or GREATER performance. The replacement will not be determined on price, but on performance. It appears that we received in your card yesterday. We have not sent out a replacement yet for your RMA it appears. We are unable to give you information on the card you may receive as stock levels change constantly. If you see the part number update to a 1060, please get in contact with us so that we can update the part number.
