So I've got a Titan X(M) SC that I upgraded with an EVGA hybrid kit for the 980Ti since the boards are exactly the same. I recently cleaned the card, replaced the thermal compound and reassmbled the card but ever since its been idling and running at the same temperatures as if I didn't have the hybrid kit and just the stock blower cooler. I'm considering double checking by pulling it out again and re-cleaning and reapplying, but if anyone else could give me some options I could try, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thermal compound used is: Prolimatech PK-3 (I also have a spare arctic silver tube for emergencies)

What about thermal tape of the other chips, did you replace that as well?

No, I'll have to order some more pads for the memory chips. They might possibly be getting old. I also took another look under the hood and I noticed the tubes from my CPU cooler were brushing upon the center of the radiator fan for the GPU. So with a little bit of work and zip ties, I managed to pull it away a bit and secure it firmly. Upon rebooting, I'm back to a more acceptable idle temperature of 35C. I'll update again after some gaming and new thermal pads.
