There is a huge amount of electricity loss and damage in Southern Florida due to the hurricane. My heart goes out to those affected and I hope there is low loss of life. Keep the faith Southern Florida!

Just watched videos 10 minutes ago of people looting stores. Some are taking the no power thing an opportunity to steal since most surveillance systems are down. There where bystanders that recorded the looters with their cellphones. So thats how there was video of them. Its crazy how some people are so desperate to get some Nike shoes.

Man i'm so happy that hurricanes like this don't exist in EU (currently  ) also wish the best for people who live there, must be crazy at the moment.

As a resident of Florida, thanks for all the well wishes...  I hope in the end, the loss of life will be minimal!! I have been through several hurricanes over the last 17 years here in Florida. Never have I seen or been through one where the strong (hurricane force) winds lasted so many hours and was felt so strong from one end of the state to the other, and coast to coast. It's a scary feeling sitting in the dark with laterns and flashlights hearing tree's snapping, metal ripping from roofs, carports, garages, etc... So relieved it's past now and on to the rescue & cleanup.

+1! I know there is a lot of devastation from IRMA [Harvey also]. It seems Florida dodged what could have been a lot worse,if the track and storm strength was a bit different. It was still bad for sure, but could have been much worse. I hope that those that are affected, can get back on track soon. There will be a lot of recovery. Be careful of scammers that will be there to take advantage of the situation.

Oh yes I just got my power today @ 10:30 am was hard but never lost water so it was ok Cold shower luv it too... my house was never affected even my big porch out back that really old roof intact all my neighbors house ok too. Did ton BBQ num num. than My friend the Marine who's avid hunter goes to west Virginia to hunt, gave 7 lbs of Deer meat tenderloins steak & wow awesome taste. We as community look out for each other & feed each other. ohh someone gave me gallon of Puerto Rican moonshine made of sugar cane. hahahaha I need it to sleep.. All those affected or still affected by Irma wish u the best is long road but stay strong kick ass & PLZ PLZ Patience is key. Peace to all.

Always glad to hear stories like this. MY mother and father live in central Florida and their power was off for 4 days. My two sisters stayed with them for a while as my parents had a generator going for power for the fridge.
