Thermaltake's 2021 ToughDesk 500L Gaming Desk is here - Neowin

Thermaltake, the leading PC DIY premium brand for Cooling, Gaming Gear, and Enthusiast Memory solutions, today announced the ToughDesk 500L RGB Battlestation Gaming Desk. The new technology and extensive functions of the desk include electric height adjustment control, anti-collision safety sensor, cable management space, and a built-in full surface RGB mouse pad for users to customize their own battle colors! The illuminating full surface mouse pad comes with 16.8M RGB color combinations; brightness, speed, and direction of the lighting effects are customizable via the iTAKE software. Exterior design and functionalities of the ToughDesk 500L RGB Battlestation Gaming Desk are conceptualized for both multi-monitor gaming setups and office use.

The full surface mouse pad covering the 1.18" (3cm) thick main desk features an illuminated border with your choice from 16.8 million RGB colors, and has several different light modes, including Static, Pulse, Blink, Spectrum Cycling, and Raindrops. They are customizable using Thermaltake's iTAKE software, which is also compatible with Razer's Chroma. The lights can also be synced with other Thermaltake products using the TT RGB Plus app.

The height of the table can be adjusted between 27.5" (70cm) and 43.3" (110cm) using the provided electrical height adjustment buttons.

Cable management is often a challenge in desktop builds and the TT ToughDesk has been provided with plenty of space on the back for that thanks to the "long length cable storage area".
Thermaltake has priced the ToughDesk 500L RGB Battlestation at $1,500 but it is to be expected from a such premium product.

In my opinion 1500 dollars is a bit high for an RGB PC desk.

    Best quote I've ever heard:
Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.

Pair that with the Logitech/Herman Miller Embody chair and you could have the ultimate setup (computer and monitor not included) for the low, low price of only $3000! Wow, what a steal! You'd be stupid for not doing it.

Is the ToughDesk 500L RGB Battlestation Gaming Desk still available somewhere at the old price? I would like to purchase it and convert it to a desk and computer desk

It does have the height adjustment which would be a lot of the cost of the desk especially an L shaped desk. Thermal Take has been making desks at these kind of prices for a few years now so clearly they must have a market for them.

I have an electric height adjustment control desk with a clear table top but no built-in anti-collision safety sensor. I would like to buy it separately. Additionally, I want to get a smaller table for my brother, like the ones at . But I don't know if I can make an upgrade and install all the system unit parts inside. Also a question about staining - is it possible to replace the table top or paint it, would it harm the surface?
