If the markets go bear , yeah we can expect alot of miners to just sell their cards. Also from what i hear ETH 2.0 too is a problem with miners.

I’d say if you can afford to wait a your gaming demands don’t require too much power just chill till this blows over.

glad to see that happen, the lower price of cryptocurrency the higher opportunity to buy a graphics card.

Honestly I highly doubt that miners exiting the game will improve the situation.

We lost the daily a while ago and we just closed a few weeks too low, but held the move.
It's a matter of rejecting what we lost in the 50s or gaining back and making a new high.

People can make money by mining without effort. There are many people doing it. when they get money from mining, people become more greedy and want to get more. That's why I can't buy a graphics card.

I don't feel that mining is the main problem, even with the LHR gpus which aren't cracked yet like 3070 and 3080ti, they are still selling for 2x msrp on ebay

I've been reading a lot about this.... seems to move in waves every 1-2 years... big crash big rise, but over time it just keeps increasing.... so if you see the market fall and GPUs all over the place.... scoop one up! Because the whole thing will probably happen all over sgain.

Crypto will continue to rise with major rises and falls (but an overall rise) until full adoption when “whales” do t have the power to manipulate the market.

Crypto goes down - you get your card from the store, crypto goes up - you can afford scalper prices.

Sounds more like a win/win!

Been watching prices the last 6 months while trying g to get a card. The secondary marked prices are definitely dropping.

I can get a 3080ti for $1850 all day. I couldn’t get a 3080 for less than 2300 a few monthe ago.

The bots have been successful and they have been rewarded by either miners or consumers paying scalping prices for this. They can continue and the bots alone can manipulate the market themselves. The crypto scrouge will not be derailed even with it now being Buthurtcoin. I see no end to this madness until production increases. Now with the water issues at TSMC, it may continue until new fabs are built over the next 5 years.

Agree, totally! Also, the MSRP will likely increase the longer it takes.

Crypto goes in cycles. The *trick* is to get more excited about getting crypto as the price goes down without catching the falling knife. Many people get more excited about buying as the price rises - and lose money.

No.  If the price drops, it will be less profitable to mine.  Less people will mine bitcoin and the difficulty will drop.  That will make it easier to mine and more will go back online.  The system is designed to stabilize, unfortunately.

lol you can thank Elon Musk for the volatility.

But no, I don't think this is magically going to make GPUs more accessible. There is a global supply chain issue, and manufacturers are already saying it could last into 2022.

I mean, if a single person can make crypto so volatile, then maybe the problem is with the crypto.

Even when mining dies, people are gonna bot their lives away for the simple fact its easy money and people get tired of staring at a screen all day, rushing to try to buy, and being discouraged. Sad times man, but i hope it stops ya know

I don't disagree with you, but there is shady stuff that happens in the US stock market as well.

It's certainly not the only problem. It's a perfect storm of increased demand and drastically reduced supply.

But mining is the top driver of demand right now. That much is pretty obvious.

I don’t think it’s crashing I think it is just really volatile
