I'm going to withhold judgement for now, yesterday was my first experience with 3.0 queue.

Hopefully it doesn't end up being as bad as what is transpiring with Bstock.  I joined a discord months ago thinking it was just a place to discuss GPU's and found out over half of the 500+ member discord runs Bstock auto-checkout bots and people actually pay for a "premium bot."  Really lame and extremely aggravating to be honest.

Ty_Ger and I have our differing opinions but I agree that small windows don't offer *ANY* insight into how a queue of this type will work.

You need a larger sample size to have any idea and eVGA hasn't allowed that.

My opinion of eVGA has gotten steadily worse since they forcibly removed me from the original queue a while back (No, don't care if
I have notifies on multiple products.....they let me queue in good faith, I entered it in good faith. Honor the queue. Period...don't
remove people because of 'reasons' ....)

Their current implementation doesn't not assuage the irritation from that at all.

Update:
Thank you EVGA! I'm impressed. There is a 3050 which has had a notify button for 4 hours now. Thanks for listening!

dude really thinks he had some sort of persuasion on the queue design.

-they already said the first queue for the 3080 12GB was a test run
-they acknowledge IN THIS THREAD that the second queue opened yesterday by mistake
-the high demand $249 3050 queue IS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, weird i feel like we covered that lmao
-the higher priced 3050 is still open for elite members. i wonder if folks chose to only use up 1 of their active queue slots on a 3050 sku considering we have the 3090 Ti launch coming soon...

keep up the good work EVGA

Right?  It's like the bronze medal biting meme!   Good job "forcing" people to do what they were always planning to do.

As for the reference model Black cards, they have always been a retail card.  If you don't know that by now, what have you been doing on the forums?

I bought an EVGA RTX1080Ti Black (11G-P4-6391-KR) directly from EVGA.com

I don’t think anyone is going to queue for a 3050 and also queue for a 3090. It’s opposite ends of the gaming spectrum. One is the card that can make any basic computer a gaming machine the ofher is the card that you buy when you own the best gaming hardware you can get your hands on.

That would be me. It's what separates men from boys. I would have queued for the 3050 for my kid and the 3090 queue for myself.

But, that is if I don't have any other GPU on hand. I have something a little better for my kid, a 1080 Ti.

1) I have had no interest in buying any of these GPUs, and I have no interest at the moment. Please don't make that part of your argument. This thread is about implementation, not opinion or frustration.

Then why are you here?

To voice my concerns, as EVGA suggested, for the good of everyone and potentially the good of future me with a future GPU.
What does it matter to you? Why are you here?

I kind of want to give EVGA a pass on this...they've had the DIY Configurator for years...and it is probably a key tool in selling their other products (PSUs, Motherboards, Peripherals). I appreciate that they've held off for as long as they have re putting 30 series in the bundler tool.

If EVGA made a queue 3.0 for the bundled products, then I'd agree that they deserved a pass.

But since these bundles are first-come-first-serve at any moment, they are likely going to get monitored by bots/scalpers and take away cards from the rest of the queue members who have waited a very long time in the EVGA queue, where those cards could be going instead.

The DIY configurator on EVGA.com shouldn't let you jump in front of everyone else who's been waiting in the EVGA.com queue for that same limited supply card for a long time.
