Every little bit helps lol.... Should I go higher on my clocks? Or try for 4.7 on my 2600K? Any input would be awesome! Or am I capped until I get the 3K series that has the PCI 3.0? I don't mind spending a couple hun on a new processor but... Will the 3.0 help? As the 2600k will not support the 3.0 pci express

D-Leander

Rei86

I'll update the OP later on today

As for you D-Leander, I need you to put it into the format shown before I can add you.  As I have no clue about how much you have or haven't OCed your GPU/CPU etc.

Sorry Rei86, i didn't saved the links to my scores.

the only info i can give you are :

D-leander --- Core i7 3930K @ 4.8Ghz --- EVGA GTX 780 (3) --- 1163core / 3254mem  --- 101%/+175/+250 ---

Those were used for the unigine benches + 3DM firestrike (Xtreme)

as for 3DM11 i used :

D-leander --- Core i7 3930K @ 5056Mhz --- EVGA GTX 780 (3) --- 1189core / 3312mem  --- 101%/+205/+310 ---

Hope this helps :)

Try to keep the format for your next entries if you don't mind
Also keep the links to your 3DMarks runs, next I can't add your Unigine runs as they are supposed to be presets but its showing up as custom.

_Nite_

nobody has any 770 cards yet? I'm curious to see benchmarks on them

Its a bit odd that no one one the these boards are talking about their 770s...Since its been out for sometime and a few have gotten their hands on it on OCN and other hardware forums.

ddggttff3

ddggttff3 --- AMD FX-8320 @ 4.01GHz --- EVGA GTX 780 SC (1) --- 1228core/3281memory --- +38mV/+120core/+275mem --- 8018 --- Air

I have a feeling this CPU is holding me back...

It is.  I'm using a FX-8350 (oced to 4.6Ghz) right now and my graphics score with SLIed Titans can get 21~23k, but the CPU is only scoring in the 8ks so I get a really awful total score.  Going back to the Z77 i7-3770k as my back up and selling the 990FXE9 board and 8350.

ehm bogus score
no way a 2-way SLI 780's setup is hitting 40k gpu score in firestrike.

well it's just that it kinda defeats the whole purpose of doing a good comparison of cards to each other. (actually had quite some uber valid results in the past aswell but not point in posting those in topics like this)

You got it Shroud....complete Bogus score...the GPU Score (other than being "way off") isnt in line at all with his combined and PhysX Score...as you mentioned the 900+ Frames is also a hint ;)
The problem with folks pulling this stuff is obviously a pita for those here for comparisons...looking at either adding additional GPU's or upgrading GPU's....good catch Shroud ;)

Seriously good catch man, I was adding them and didn't take time to check them this morning.

If you do see any others, and I will be on the look out either PM or make a post here.  This is more of a comparison for members so they can see what similar spec machines can do if they add this GPU, not really ...well kind of bragging rights also.  Thanks again.

And just to be clear we're not accusing members of foul play, just wondering what happened since the scoring seems to be way off the mark of the norm.

^^^ As with ALL GTX Series....2xx through to present, there are a number of "Behind the Wall Program Hacks" that can be applied...."hint"

2. At the Programmers Level

To be quite honest thats the bs part of taking on one of these Threads, you have to be prepared to sort through some "garbage" ;)

well im kinda the in house overclocking guy on mmo-c computer section so i kinda like it.

for funs purpose i got two older scores to just illustrate how wierd 3dmark can be at times (http://www.3dmark.com/fs/451450) and even this one that held the #1 spot for two weeks (http://www.3dmark.com/fs/325602)
for now im just eagerly lurking around the evga forums for any gtx780 related stuff untill i can get my hands on a pair of 780 classifieds

edit ; this one works? http://www. 3dmark. com/fs/325602 or am i still bound by posting restrictions? (lets see if two spaces work)

Hey guys,
That is my score.  First off I do not know any hacks, or how to change a driver.  I just ran the benchmark and got a score.  I was trying some higher oc's when I got that score, and I thought that I hit the the sweet spot for the gpu's.  In no way did I mean to enter a fake score!!

I never looked at the break down to notice the 900fps gpu score.  That does look like 3dmark might have a few problems with scoring.  It is an error in 3dmark so please do not bash me for posting my score.  I never thought 3dmark would create a wrong benchmark score.  It has never happened to me in the past 5 years of posting scores.

I just finished about two hours of overclocking on my brand new GTX 780 SC w/ACX, and all I can say is wow. I used Heaven and Valley both numerous times to ensure it was completely stable. in the end I was able to do +38mv, +90mhz core (Not great but about what I was expecting), and +650mhz mem (which completely blew me away). In the end my final score in Valley was 3093, not bad considering my previous highest score in Valley was 2083 with a GTX 680 SC Sig 2. Very happy with this card and ready to throw some games at it. Also fans at 70% not even noticable, the best cooler I have come across so far.

Hope you add me.  Glad my 920 can rock this 780 nicely.  Just a side note, I don't see why the rules need to be so strict.  You would get a ton of more entries if you didn't require all these crazy screenshots.  I mean this is only for fun right?  I can understand if this was a competition with prizes but it's not.

Its just how its always been on this forum, and if you go to OCN its even a lot more strict than this.  Not only that some places won't allow for driver mods whatsoever and only pure points.

Yea I see what your saying but imo it should only be required for the top benchmark score.  Everything below that is just statistics and collected data for comparison.   Like I said, there would be much more entries if you didn't need to jump through hoops to post a score.  The more the merrier right?

I don't know taking a screen shot doesn't take that long, and 3DMarks already sends you straight to your online validation link

I'm just away from my PC and didn't capture any screenshots during the bench.  I had the link from pCARS forums and just copied it over here, thinking I would get a special treatment and you would just post it.  Stupid me...

EDIT: OK OK You Win!  Attached a screenshot.  Can you add me please?

Those 770 owners don't overclock...
And honestly going with 2 780's @ this point in time is not needed. 800 series is where its at broski!! Ill splurge and take the plunge when those come out as there is no need for a 2nd card @ 1920x1080 gaming. I can play EVERYTHING @ stock clocks with at least 90+ fps! Id  another 780 but in all reality Id be wasting 659.00 that could be used for better things like a new Z87 mobo and 4K processor!! WORD!

cmon you know that really depends on the amount of AA.
metro LL was 35 FPS dips with everything maxed out on SLI.
for most games a single card should be plenty though.

Rei I see you updated the score.  Shouldn't I be #3 on the list for single Fire Strike instead of 8?  I thought they were listed as highest score on top.  Thanks!

I ran the Metro Last Light benchmark last night.  With all settings maxed/ultra with DX11 and Nvidia PhysX enabled @ 1920 x 1080.  Here are the results:

Average:  64.33 FPS
Max:  192.72 FPS
Min:  20.18 FPS

I'll post a screenshot later tonight after I get home from work.

I ran the benchmark with my secondary gaming rig (not the one in my sig):

3770K @ 4.6Ghz, Corsair H110, 16GB G.Skill 2800Mhz DDR3, 2 x EVGA GTX780 SC ACX cards in SLI, 2 x 240GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSDs in RAID 0, Corsair Truepower 1000 Watt PSU, Corsair Carbide 500R case

Hey FscuderiaX (Ferrari Scuderia?), make a new post instead of editing your original post when you get a new score.  As when I was updating this is the link to the score I had

Will update your score now with the new score and link
