My RYZEN 7 1800X shows 6.5 Hours, right. I will report back on this tomorrow.
I added my 4P in so it is running 4 Tasks 10 Cores Each, on then AMD CPU Bill talked me into getting.
So for my Core i7-5960X doing the best with 2 Tasks running with 6 Thread Each.
My Intel Core i7-3970X completed at last and now running well with 6 Threads and running only one task.

let us knoow how well he AMD does, why not 4 tasks with 12 threads per task?
Those 6180 should do ok I would think.

Cut and paste this to notepad
Click file - save as - name the file app_config.xml
Save as all file type
add it to appdata -BOINC - primegrid
Tell the BOINC to read local files.
Check task mgr to make sure all cores are loaded.
If still not loaded exit BOINC and stopp all tasks on exit.
Restart BOINC should check and see if all cores are loaded.

If you need, I can email you my file.

The 2600k with 2 4core was lagging and looked like more than 24 hours in total. I switched to single 8core on that. Must be that issue with limited cache on these old cpu's. 2500k is cruising along at 46% in under 5.5 hours about 6 to go. The other 2600k is close to finishing one that started as a single core then went to 6 and now 8. I'll run like this for a couple days or until I need the gpu's again.

Steve, make sure the boinc data folder is chosen. your post doesn't indicate that.

I went to the PG thread, copied from there, worked... weird... probably just me...

Appreciated the help, as always..

Now I will see how well it crunches, onto the score board I go, fingers crossed....soon....

We are holding 6th and slowly reeling in team Poland for 5th place.
When I first checked we were 10 million down, now we are just under 4 million behind.
Hopefully the new spring will be GPU so we can keep the CPUs on PG.

We are four days into this, going to check some times of the three systems that are pretty much the same and see how its going.
I should be able to tell if HT helped 16 cores vs 32 threads.

Not sure what is going on here. I was looking at PG my account, computers on the account.
I noticed a couple have not checked in in 22 hours or so, that is when I checked the computers by remote desktop.
I know I can not do remote desktop when GPUs are crunching, if I do the GPUs disengages.
Not every computer had an issue, just two dual i5-2670.
Going to have to keep a closer eye and check each system in person from now on.
This happened once before but with only one, so now there is an issue of some sort.
If everything stays running for a few more days, I think it is remote desktop.

hmm, not seeming to helping you all much. i've completed 6 tasks, but they all seem to be coming in 'inconclusive'. (4 are labeled 'inconclusive' with the other two pending)

I was seeing this on other PG Tasks with my new AMD CPU (inconclusive) that is.
This happens.
I lost my 4P today after I changed the Count to 12, I set it back to 8 and back running now.

I am thinking about going back to single thread tasks.
My logic is that using multicore tasks (6 threads) on my 3930k, I cannot complete more than 6 tasks in the time it takes to complete 6 single thread tasks.
Does that make sense?

Yes, if that's the case it makes sense to me.  Then switch over to multicore once your single core tasks won't complete before the end of the challenge.

When you run six at a time on six cores, do they all run close together in percentage complete?
On my hexcore or my dual octo cores I get some that run much faster.
A couple will be at 74-75% and others will be 45-60%. They are all over the place.
I have found running two tasks with 8 or 16 cores each, the two tasks stay even percentage wise.
This may matter as you get closer to the last day when some tasks may not finish and you want to go back to MT.
Please keep us posted, this looks like it will be the future of PG tasks.
The smaller tasks like the German short WUs single thread is the way to go.
Will do some testing after this challenge is over.

We are still closing in on 5th place, keep up the pressure!!!

Thanks for the input bill and planetclown.
I will definitely switch back to MT as the event nears the end, to squeeze a few more tasks in.

Although it is cool to see MT tasks for different projects (ATLAS, now PG) I find it makes it harder to manage multiple projects on the same machine....I'm undecided on this one.

It is easy to manage a GPU and CPU Project then to manage two different CPU Projects.
I may over manage but I will run One CPU and One GPU Project and change them out sometimes once a day or two.

Man I missed the pie!

Settled on MT tasks for the 3930k since it is not quite running 24/7 and single thread tasks on the 2P to leave room for numberfields and pogs.

Trust me I know that, OH SO WELL.........................Running with the little CPU that could...................Thus why I'm not running the current PG challenge........18-19hrs/ Task..............sigh...........someday, some, some, day I might have more than 4 cores and horse power to go with it. Oh well something is better than nothing!
