Look what ive found. i dont know why but when i use stock setting, using F5 to load optimized default,. then i shut down pc NOT restart. restart it will stay the same it will not beep or give fan eror….it give the error cpu fan error, but not overclocked failed..

Then if i go back i shut down the computer and go into bios and i need to choose gamer oc profile. the default core is set at 47 but anway my processor is locked at 29. so default 29. i set turbo on. and v. core is high at 1.4 so i put it down to 1.25..... but even at 1.4 or 1.25 the system is good. i shut down it, restart no beep no cpu fan error. now its normal. but still the led that pop red for a sec then goes away

Load "optimized default" is not the same as pulling out the Battery or resetting the Motherboard to the Default Settings on some Motherboards.

yeah i know sir., im tryng to figure this out. like i said before i did not overclocked nothing since im using those 970 in sli. stock all the time but looks like the default setting optimized default is killing it.. does this sound right ? what about the red led now ?, the system is good,. i can do benchmark and the score is right etc.… and no more cpu fan error now and no more bipp sound

im not very good with all those setting, i did read everything maybe 5 time at least what each setting is doing etc. looked guide, but my goal is not to maximise it, i dont really care about oc. max clock turbo is 3.8 so not bad, i can push it to 3.9. 4 easy temps at 33… and not more than 47-50 prime95 or other so it good. but its still hard a bit to understand .. that why i make sure before doing something il do it right and il come here to ask some expert opinion and choice i should do. i thank you all for the help. this topic is still not closed. im sherlock holmes number 2

Bent CPU Pins on the Motherboard CPU Socket.
you think ??? even with all the benchmark ive done with the gtx1060 and cinebench, prime95. memory test etc etc, ive done all of them with success. but changed with 970 now those problem started. the cpu was already installed since a while ??? but this could be it ?

It would not hurt it pull the CPU and Check. You can also refresh the Thermal Paste. But if you just installed the AIO CPU Cooler on the 12 of Dec and you ran an tested with your GTX 970 cards ok and the OS was also installed on the 12 then no. the block is stock since im using sli. i can even run asus AI SUITE, go into turbo evo. and let the system oc itself. . it goes up to 102.5 alone. and system run good, i shut down it. restart it, no proble, no beep. no error I DID NEVER OVERCLOCKED IN SLI. not a single time except yesterday just for fun because i was tryng different combinaison and option in bios. and looks like i found something with that haha

I have a suggestion. Go back to bios version 0701 as 0801 is a beta bios. See if that fixes the problem.

I have a suggestion. Go back to bios version 0701 as 0801 is a beta bios. See if that fixes the problem.
Ok il be home soon i will eat and take a look. Thry are not doing more bios for those board but there a guy on ROG forum he work for asus and he do custom bios. Il try to send a post there to see if it can help. I just got aproived so i wasent able to post yet il look this tonight Thanks for reply

ANyway i just arriver and tried to fire it up. it did again. bip bip bip lol...
il take out the aio cooler and look the pins if its fine,.f.. if OK , il try the bios. that my last option.
i really want to keep this board. and this cpu. i mean i can get something else. but i dont want to. this setup is what i want. so anyway il take off cooler and il send some picture we will see

I found a bent pin. Actually the procesor is the only thing i didnt do myself.... the only thing i did not install by my own. Anyway. Can you help me thru this please ? How can i unbent the pin on the board ?

Last update so far : rechecked every pc components. battery, graphic cards. everything for bent pins or anything suspicious. coulnt not find anything.
