Hello, I was curious if anyone knows if the G2 1600w has protection or issues from backfeeding.

The reason I ask, and maybe their is a trick to do this safely. Is my G2 lives in a water-cooled test bench, which is currently my main rig, but will be going to back to a bench soon. Anyway, I want to have dual power inputs for the pump.

I want to have the power supply handle the pump when it is on, and a molex 12v power brick power it optionally. That way I can make a barrel Jack in the back, and plug that in for pump only operation.

I am worried about the power back feed however and what this may do to the power supply.

I thought of a switch, for each, however this idea will not work for the power supply connection, as I have children who like to mess with stuff a d the last thing I need is them switching the pump off on a running system.
