Hello I have this stutter in all games I play which is mostly battlefield but it does it in every battlefield title from bf3 to bfv. It’s not constant all the time but it’s there every game anywhere from 2 to 8 times a game and it’s always the cpu line on the frame time graph. I can run any benchmark or stress test weather it be graphics or cpu and have absolutely no problem my system is number 2 in the world for firestrike extreme and firestrike ultra with a 8086k and 1 2080ti

System
8086k @5.2ghz 1.350v, llc-6 ,cache, ratio 50 , avx offset 0
Asus Maximus X hero
2080ti running 2100mhz
32gb 4000mhz c17
Samsung nvme 970 pro
Corsair ax1200i
All custom water cooled with 2 360 rads

Keep in mind both cpu and gpu are completely stable in any test I run which is prime 95 v26.6, intel burn test, rog realbench, etc

I have reinstalled OS many times, DDU drivers, disabled spectra patch, windows defender disabled, Cortana disable, tried Superfetch disabled, I have made sure cores are unparked and made sure all threads are active, tried bigger page file, tried disable page file, tried to increase virtual memory, disabled automatic driver updates. Pretty much if it can be found on the internet I have tried it and there is many I am not listing.

I have been building computers around 10 years and been benchmarking and overclocking the same. I have no clue why this is happening I have also looked at standby memory and it’s fine I still have anywhere from 10gb to 12gb left when gaming.

Help me lol I may be overlooking something but I don’t see how with the way my system runs benchmarks and stress test gpu never gets above 42 in games in stress test and max cpu temp is around 62 in game and 68 to 70 in stress test.

Also just up graded to the 32gb 4000mhz ram from 16gb 3600mhz and from SSDs to Samsung nvme.

Set your cpu to stock clocks, set your ram to 2666 MHz, & set your gpu to stock clocks. See if that helps.

Hello I have tried the cpu at stock clocks but haven’t tried the gpu or ram. What do you think could be the issue even though all my hardware passes all the stress test and benchmarks overclocked?

If doing what I suggested in post #2 doesn't help the issue then you may have a problem with your nvme ssd. Try loading a game off any other storage device to see if that helps get rid of the stuttering.

Hmm. Well then it sounds like you may have a dpc latency issue.

Enabling hpet has been known to fix stuttering. Open command prompt and type "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true" without the quotes then restart your computer, and retest for stutters.

Seems to be something with cpu overclock I tried it with stock ram speeds and xmp profile and cpu set to stock with both and I had no stutter may have just been a fluke but what do you think it could be with the overclock settings as it passes all stress test

Well makes absolutely no sense after I tested with everything stock and then enabled xmp and all was good I tried putting my overclock in a few things at a time went and test all was fine put some more settings in until I had it just like I did when I started this thread and never had one stutter. I will test more tomorrow idk why it didn’t stutter with all the testing I done but I tested multiple time adding my overclock back slowly and nothing.

It might be the ram cache issue. To fix it if it is, just set empty standby memory to clear every 5 minutes.

I think it was a voltage issue I don’t know how I could pass 3 different stress test running 5.2ghz at 1.350v but I have increased the core voltage to 1.365v and so far it hasn’t happened again. I guess bfv is more stressful than a stress test lol. It definitely hammers the cpu.
