I've been having problems with my internet, uploads and downloads kept crapping out and failing repeatedly. I'm getting tired of fiddling with it. I'll come back to it when we get decent internet (not holding my breath). No such problems with boinc crunching WCG, so I'll keep on keeping on with that.

Sometimes I do have to power off my complete network for 10 minutes or so and then things are better with Stanford.
But they seems have some issue more so but remember the TZC Coming Up.

It sometimes helps if I swap to using my cell as a hotspot but if there are 4 or 5 WUs wanting to upload simultaneously, they still fail. I got a warning from my carrier a couple weeks ago complaining about hotspot use. I don't pay them their premium for the privilege LOL.

At least you can still crunch, that's good. I hope you are able to upgrade soon, I know how that can go though. I'm glad you joined our team, don't be a stranger man.

Trying it again. I restarted it with the existing WUs and it continued to fail uploads, so I cleared out my local app data and started fresh with new WUs. Fingers crossed. Edit: First two WUs uploaded fine. Sweet!

Seems to be working fine again. Made a desktop shortcut to the data folder in case it glitches out again. Deleting those files is going to be my first troubleshooting step going forward after confirming that my internet is working as well as it usually does.

Did it again a couple days ago, failed to upload and seemed to not want to try again. It failed and then seemed to hang. I dumped the 2 WUs, rebooted and it's back to normal again.  Been working fine for 48 hours or so. Oh well, it's some lost work but as long as when it happens, there's a quick and easy solution, it's all good.

I had one yesterday and I paused and saved and then Exit the Client tool then started it back up and it uploaded.

For some reason I have to reboot. If I close the client and then relaunch without rebooting, the local client never reconnects.

Just keep in mind you have to return 8 of 10 WUs to keep the bonus points.
If you go under the 80% return rate you will not get the bonus until you are back above 80%.
Life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife

I had to dump 7 WUs this time. The client didn't upload and wouldn't connect. The interface was shadowed out. I rebooted and it still wouldn't connect and remained shadowed. I dumped the WUs, rebooted and it downloaded new WUs and restarted like everything was normal.

Appears to be broken again. The first of the new WUs stopped uploading at 54%. I rebooted and it restarted the upload only to jam up again at 21%. No errors in the log. It just stopped for some reason. Oh well. Something is broken, either on my end or it's something to do with my connection. At this point, I'm inclined to not fight it.

i would look to cpu or subsystem problem - even psu
fold on gpu only and see if it works
start eliminating issues this way - by folding on gpu only you reduce power and reduce cpu usage

It's been a month or so since I rebooted the router and modem, but it seems to download WUs fine, and BOINC has no trouble up or down. It's odd.
