I just ordered EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & Black Edition from eu.evga.com! i was hoping to buy at least a Ti model but, i have seen the stock too late so i just ordered this model in hoping that i could upgrade to a new model! Now my question is, if i can upgrade through step-up program my current model or I send back my card and wait for a new stock to arrive! I apologise for my grammatical mistakes, english is not my native language!

Wait about 2 weeks before your step-up expires ,  then go thru the process of picking the newer card.
EVGA will email you when it arrives and is time to pay  & ship in your old card.
until then, you get to play/ use your current card ... which may be months of use before your newer card is ready

    +1 good advice Steve.
I actually waited until 2 days before my Step-up expired. I was hoping the new cards were coming. Despite NEVER showing to be in stock, I had my step-up processed within a week. I chose ground UPS, which is cheaper and slower shipping. But my 1080ti Black will be here mid week. Previous series step-ups have taken a lot longer than this one.

Also, welcome to the forums David. :)

Thank you aka_STEVE_b for your advice and, thank you notfordman for your kind welcome!
In other words, it does not matter the model of the video card ordered to enter the step-up project? I'm saying this because earlyer, I read somewhere on this site as the models chosen for this project are only those with serial numbers starting with 61 and not by 51, as and my model and that made me confused! Thank you for the advice, you are a gorgeous community and I feel very honored and happy to be among you guys!

You can choose any card on the Step-Up list
-->  Your Original purchased card, purchased new from an authorized reseller ---> Must have a 3 year warranty (or better)

For all detail read the information on this page :  https://eu.evga.com/support/stepup/

    (excerpt)
You can unlock the Step-Up option for any Limited Lifetime Warranty or 3 Year Warranty product as long as it meets the conditions listed below

Register your valid product within 30 days from your original purchase
    1. If your product has a 3 year warranty purchased on or after 3/1/2013 and registered within 14 days of the invoice date by the original owner from an authorized reseller, then you will receive the option to step-up for the first 90 days of ownership.

Does anyone know if there is a way to step-up to a card other than the options listed? I just purchased a 8 GB 1070 Ti SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, and would like to upgrade to any of the following 11GB 1080 Ti cards: 11G-P4-6796-K2, 11G-P4-6796-K5, 11G-P4-6593-KR, 11G-P4-6696-KR, 11G-P4-6694-KR

The problem is, only one 1080 Ti shows up on the list of available choices, and it is the 11G-P4-6393. Doesn't make much sense to me seeing as I will paying the difference in cost regardless. Much thanks to anyone that knows how I could do this!  ;)

The answer is no. You can only step up to what is available in the list, usually that's only vanilla/entry level cards. On a rare occasion they sometimes will make others available but not for long.

    Hello,

You can step-up from any product purchased from an authorized retailer within 90 days of the date of purchase, proof of purchase is required.

The options for Step-up are listed on our webpage http://www.evga.com/stepup and those are the only options available.

You can wait until day 90 to submit your request. If you reach day 91 you can not submit a request for Step-up and there can be no exceptions to this.

    Everything is security.

I agree that waiting for and doing the step up would be the best way to go about it. As long as you are in the process of a step up you are good to go even if the supply isn’t available yet. This also gives you the card to use for months. It might be you decide to even skip the step up.

Now finally I was selected for Step up program!
And last night i just received the 4th step for sending the card back in exchange of new one! I was so excited until today when i started to call the recommended carriers for transportation and this are the costs: FedEx - 180 euros and UPS- 220 euros, and from the state of enthusiasm I went directly to panic! When I received the 1070 i paid only 16.80 euros because EVGA is having a direct contract with those courier companies! I know it's not EVGA's concern about this fact but at this point, sending the card to EVGA is impossible because i can't afford to pay that amount of money considering the step up difference cost me only 150 euros! I just sent a email to EVGA in hope to find a better way to send the package without losing a considerable amount of money just for transportation! if anyone has any idea please do not hesitate to write it!
    Update:
I will send it with my local postage because will cost my only 35 euros with tracking included and they have the same services like other couriers! The package will be arriving in 5 days! Case closed!:)
