It really depends on when the cards are available by EVGA but with the numbers they are talking about I think they will be in short supply. If the 3080 was to show up as a step up option though I would jump on it rather then wait for the 3070 which just says "October" for a release and could fall outside the step up window depending on when in July you bought the card and when in October they come out.

We have no information currently on when they will be added to Step Up considering the cards have not even been released.

Can we expect that EVGA will at least get a step up queue going in the next 30 days so owners can get in line and also be able to meet their deadlines and use the step up program as they had hoped to do?
I saw the special notice, and EVGA is saying unforseen factors may push this out further? If this is simply a supply issue, why can owners not get in the line (when the GPUs release) since this is not consumers faults. I'm sure most won't care that they have to wait to get their new GPUs vs not even being offered the option.

I want to second that I would greatly appreciate the chance to enter the Step Up Queue now for an RTX 3080. I just purchased an RTX 2070 Super from Walmart, it is brand-new and unopened, and I would much rather enter the queue and wait as long as necessary for the Step-Up option to ship to me than have to try and beat scalpers at their own game. I only buy eVGA video cards because of your tremendous support programs and excellent warranties.

I am actually on a bigger tier, since I really want to Step-Up to a 3090. So I really do not mind, since I still have time (I bought a 2080Ti last week to work in UE4 as I needed) but I am more than willing to pay the difference to a 3090. I hope EVGA comes big and help us do that.

I have 15 days left on my Step-Up. Wow, If this became a part of the program the day of release, i would have missed it by a single day. I really wish I didn't impulse upgrade :(

I just bought a 2070 super to replace my r9 290x 12 days ago. Hoping a step up is available in the next 70 days or so since I would love to make the jump to a 3070 or even a 3080 if possible.

Also really hoping they let us in some form of queue/pre-order situation through the step-up program. Bought a 2070 Super last month and want to step-up to the 3080 FTW3. Please don't pin us against bots.

UPDATE - Spoke to an EVGA rep in chat and he said "you submit your request to Step-Up and enter a queue, check back after Sept 17th". So we should all be good to enter the queue at that time, and not miss out on the ability to step up.

I have so many questions...
- Why the 3*8pin vs the new 12pin?
- Why are the HC versions so big? We've seen the reference PCB, we know it can be tiny. I also looks like the the HC block might be half reservoir at this point. Why?
- Why no preorders?
I'm interested to see what the final specs/prices will be for all these :-)

yeah... I am not getting my hopes up, I have an history getting [insert word] by missing important dates for reasons out of my control. Idk why I decided to play this "simulation" on "Hard"... At least I think I did not pick the "Insane" setting.
