Jacob said in twitter steps us maybe within a week or two... dang it. I hope its earlier....

I could swear I saw a statement where they said inventory was split between retail and step-up.  So I guess I thought at least some of the step ups would be notified for step 2... instead I guess we just have the cards on ebay.  As so far I haven't actually seen a post from anyone saying "omg I got so lucky" but the FTW3 Ultras sure are on ebay.

Maybe tweet him to speed up things? I just did. People got the chance today to buy FTW3's and they sold out, I think next batch should prioritize step up customers, its only fair...

Could anybody let me know when/if the 3090 is available for step up tomorrow? I'm in line for the 3080 but would prefer to not leave early and lose my spot only for the 3090 to not be available.

Maybe using stepup id is better than email times because many factors affect the time an email will reach you.

What do you mean? I get auto-notified when someone responds to this thread.

I'm already in queue for the 3080 and cannot see the available cards because of it. Only way is to cancel out of the queue and I risk losing my spot on the 3080 if I drop out and the 3090 is not on the list for step up.

Hence why I asked someone to please let me know if/when it is available on step up.

StepUp for EU (in my case Germany) is now available!

How much is the 3080 in the price calculation excl. german VAT? I might try to use the step up to the 3080 next week but I cannot find any information about the EU price in €. Thank you

that is a long wait, but if I'm confirmed for the step-up then I can just wait it out while I upgrade the other components in my computer. The CPU, motherboard and ram in the mean time. RTX 2080 super ftw will hold me down until the 3080 is ready.

That's assuming the stepup ID reflects your position in queue, and based on the IDs we've seen so far it looks like it isn't the case.

yeah I'm hoping everyone who decided to use step-up don't have to wait months just to upgrade their card.

Monitor the Step-Up FAQ page. there is an updated list there that will show you when the 3090 is available. The 3080 was listed at 6am PST when the cards launched, at least for the US side of operations.

Re: Stepup for RTX 3000 Series 2020/09/23 19:51:04 (permalink)
So just to clarify, this list is unofficial and lacks crucial information. The purpose is to give those in the step up queue an idea of who has been served, and from there anticipate when they might also get an invite for step 2. The list does not account for people who don't post on the forums (obviously). It's also safe to assume EVGA doesn't release the same number of cards at regular intervals, so you may have to wait a while even if the person right before you already got a card.

List is in courier new font so letters are evenly spaced. If youre viewing on the phone the numbers might be staggered.

Yeah step ids are random. They used to give queue numbers a long while ago but not anymore, there is no way to know unless we keep everyone updated here.

my bad, not Twitter, it was on the r/TeamEVGA subreddit: /r/TEAMEVGA/comments/iyet1k/step_up_stock

>If I entered step up today do you think I would get a card before November 1st?

>It's possible, but unlikely. I certainly would not count on it. -EVGA_JaesonW

>Thanks, good to know! What about December??

>There's honestly no telling, so I don't want to get your hopes up. The minimum I would expect to wait is a month, and I wouldn't be surprised if it could take 4+ months with hype and demand the way it is. That said, we could potentially start fulfilling the first step ups next week, and the last person in queue could be waiting 6 months for their turn to come up. -EVGA_JaesonW

JC that's ridiculous, they should be setting cards aside for step ups, people already had the chance today to buy FTW3.

I'm sure there will be a balancing act. definitely not 50/50, maybe something more along the lines of 10% aside for step-up is my guess. I don't expect to have any type of priority or to be favored. Our 20xx series will be just fine for a while, we aren't missing out on much.

that's my mindset as well. I'm as impatient as the next person for the new hardware buuuut at least I've got a sick 2070 super to keep me company until then :) i just feel bad for the dozens of folks I'm seeing who are considering buying a card to hop in the queue with the expectation that the step up will be a quick thing. we're def in for the long haul lol

Heck, I'm dreading the day my number is pulled ... I'm stationed in South Korea. So it will take 7-10 days to get there, 1-3 for RMA process, and another 7-10 days to get back to me. I'm looking at probably 3 weeks with nothing.

I'm on the east coast and am expecting the same due to the current shipping environment.  My only saving grace is that I have an R9 380 to back up on while I wait.  See if you can find a super cheap used video card if you want to fill the 3 week void to be able to browse the internet, youtube, etc.
