Who’s got one? I don’t think anyone in the thread has gotten past step 1.

one ends with KR and other is KB?

KB is just Best Buy-specific product ending - same as a KR for the same model, but just their own code - used a 2080S KB from them to get in teh queue for a 3080, and got my Step 2 email yesterday afternoon

oh ok thanks for that information didn't know that :) Appreciate that man. After all these defeat from not able to get PS5, XBOX Series Pre order, is good to know that EVGA at least we can get a 3080 down the road and don't need to battle bots to get one or experience website crashing every time by using Step Up.

You got your golden ticket...I mean Step 2 email? What's the timestamp on your Step 1 email? Asking for a friend...

You should add to the Unofficial 3080 Step Up Queue thread for tracking purposes.

This is the 3080 listing all over again, see here:

Will hopefully be fixed soon.

hey guys i got a question concerning my RTX 2080 super card i bought 2days ago for step up. the card cost $779.99 USD, but Newegg offered a $50 off promo code with the purchase. which brought the card down to $729.99. so my question is do I put down $729.99 as the purchase price or $779.99 as the listed price? this wasn't a rebate deal. so i'm wondering if $50 off count as such?

i was in the same situation, EVGA only cares about the amount you paid without tax, thus for you it's going to be $729.99.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe you put the price paid. I bought a 2080 from EVGA 2 years ago on Ebay during the up to 100 dollars off anything sale. I had to put 699.99 down on step up instead of the 799.99 list price.

I just started the step-up from a RTX2080 to the 3080FTW3 a couple of days ago. How long this might take ? Week, Months or should it get there before Xmas ?

It'll take months, but will hopefully be before the end of the year. I would expect 4-5 months worst case.

It will be sometime I imagine, but at least we don't need to f5 spam and are guaranteed one.

I will either find a way, or make one.

While we're all waiting for the 3080 Rollouts from the Step-Up Program, there's been reports of issues with the 3080 (depending on model and brand). There's been reports of constant crashes due to the corners being cut (depending on brand) on the components used. Here is actually a good video that breaks it all down in detail. Don't know if this affects the 3080FTW3, but the XC3 is affected.

youtube.com/watch?v=x6bUUEEe-X8

Edit: These issues are happening mainly from overclocking. As Jay explains in the video, you are guaranteed stability on the voltage that is printed on the label. Anything higher than what is on the label may result in instability and crashes depending on the brand you have.

You have a timestamp where XC3 is mentioned?  And since this video, Jay has released at least 2 follow up videos on Twitter. XC3 wasn't mentioned in either of those.

Concerning the POSCAP/game crash reports. EVGA, FE, and ASUS boards all seem to have remedied this situation prior to sending out consumer boards (some review boards have the less optimal POSCAPs). An EVGA rep has covered this in a post in the main RTX 30 series forum. I beleive it was stickied, or at least near the top last night.
