Perhaps this has been answered before - I have about 80 days for Step Up so I am not in a hurry. Traditionally, does EVGA ever offer Step Up other than the base model? I don't want the ti FE but even the icx base would be great

Typically evga offers a founders, a base acx (in the past), and a base evga blower model. Unfortunately, there has been no word if there will be more models added as of yet.

the step up program makes it clear, Reference models are offered.Anyuthing else is a complete EVGA descision and they have rarely mentioned future cards that might or will be on the listing for step up.So its up to them if and when at all they will do so.Wait and see ,best advice.

I'm in the same boat praying they offer the 1080 ti SC Black in the program

I would be  more than happy to pay an aditional $30-50 over the cost difference between my old 1080 FTW2 and the 1080 Ti Sc Black to be able to do so.

It would be months before they put a SC black on the list and it will most likely never happen. It depends on availability and right now there is none!

The FE edition was put on day one with the same demand.  Your metric is flawed for that statement.

No it wasn't the FE is a reference model and was posted to appease the Step up for the would be Ti owners. The stock was much much more plentiful compared to the non reference models like the SC. The FE was available almost all day and readily available amongst many partners on many sights soon after. EVGA really makes limited quantities of the non reference cards. Go ahead and hold your breath for a SC model on the Step Up list. Not gonna happen. 1080 SC was on the list for only part of a day and only because EVGA had manufacturing issues with the 1080 ACX and they even offered SC editions to ACX pre orders because of the issue but that's not happening now.

PS That is EVGA logic not mine read it yourself on the step up site and ANY forum here related to step up including advice from EVGA techs.

Yeah I don't need an upclocked version, I just want a standard pcb dual fan version like they usually offer for step up.

Nvidia kinda pushed this on vendors with the Founders Edition. The Reference is now what Nvidia says it is(Founders Edition/design) not a individual vendors release. In the case of EVGA (it would seem since the introduction of FE cards) they have to adhere to that standpoint also thus they call anything they have made after Founders SC/Gaming ect . Once they add fans,or design changes (PCB/Cooling) it is no longer Reference/Standard.Those days have passed. If and when Evga does offer them as "options" to step up is totally  in the air.
