Nice to see something being done about the rampant hacking in CSGO. I don't even play it but friends would post stuff that remind me of the CS 1.6 days.

One of the many reasons I don't play open multiplayer games at all. I play with friends in closed games, single player, or not at all. I game for fun and relaxation, and getting stomped by some trash talking child who shot me through a wall is not interesting at all. Have I hit IDDQD IDKFA/IDFA and burned through all hell had to throw at me, sure, but never for progression, and certainly never for online play, and never at the expense of someone else.

How rampant cheating is in online gaming period. It really is sad.
Blizzard is pretty good at preventing cheating. Overwatch specifically I've ran into very few obvious cheaters whereas anything popular on Steam or EA it's the opposite.

Lying to themselves yet think they had real victory were is just a smokes screen of illusions created by there own lack of skills. I actually came across moron in real life how he brag that he used cheats in game but yet he claimed he was such a badass at gaming. eventually he boasted so much girls were there called him Loser & said to him what's wrong with you thinking cheating would impress any lady in the party he had leave everyone stared at him with disgust. ha real life bit in the buttocks.

Hah I can recall 2 games of CS GO where I had a teammate turn on hacks to combat the other team's hacker but definitely the vast majority of hackers I've encountered in that game were alone with no attempted counter. Of course I don't think it's right nor worth the risk to hack defensively but it does suck that you have to waste time playing an unwinnable game since you can't surrender until someone abandons and gets a competitive cooldown. Definitely seeing less hackers recently which thank Gaben!

Banned from the specific game that the Valve Anti-Cheat System (VAC) recognized the hacks from. About 64 games use the VAC system including Dota 2 and every now and then, they update the system resulting in a "VAC ban wave" with a bunch of cheaters getting what they deserve but only towards the specific game that caught them with the exception to Source and Gold Source games in which you won't be able to play on any of the VAC secured servers on any of the games in those categories if VAC catches you while playing one of those games. The steam account will list in red how many VAC bans and days since last ban but the account will still be able to play all the games that weren't affected by the VAC ban (Only multiples if caught as I said above while playing a game in those categories). Even the game(s) that received the VAC ban would be able to be played as long as you aren't playing on a VAC secured server so you can play single player and LAN perfectly fine.

I havent played multiplayer since year 2000, I kept getting yelled at, "You cant do that, ur a cheater!" Which I wasnt, I was just better at strategy and counted my ammo. And was way before cheating scripts was super eazy, and not worth the effort, of course, was back in dial-up modem dayz...
