Folding with Nvidia GeForce drivers 381.65 WHQL ---> Was using 373.06 PC details: Win 7 64bit Pro, X58 MB (PCIe 2.0 x16) with i7-950 OC, on air EVGA 1080 FE on air Steps I used: PC offline All background software stopped, including security software Removed MSI AB, reboot DDU Safe Mode old driver, with reboot Installed Nvidia driver, Advanced mode, Only graphics driver & PhysX, clean install, reboot Reinstalled MSI AB, clean install, reboot Set MSI AB back to same settings I was running previously Let the Folding begin UPDATE: from post # 23 I see no reason to go to the new driver at this time. 381.65 MAY be up to 8% slower in Folding and performs the same as 373.06 at Best Gamers may want to try it if they are having issues with their current driver

Update So far PPD "could" be lower by about 8 % - still early in testing, ~ 24 hours and 9 WU completed. Not sure if it is driver or the actual WU that are being sent. My core21.exe keeps crashing. Not failing the work unit, just throwing a program exception at the start that I have to clear manually. Then it professes past 0.0% on advanced control and hfm.net client.

On what GPU and This Driver (381.65) and are you running Version 18 on Core 21? Are you overclocking your GPU?

Welcome to the Forum Aurum.Rabosa From what the Folding Site has told us the Bug was removed from the NVIDIA Drivers 3 or 4 Drivers ago. Now we are all waiting for Version 19 of Core 21 that has the Stanford Workaround Removed. Also are you going to start back up Folding? Curecoin

I am running at 2062 Mhz on my 1080FTW2. Temps are in low to mid 50s as its a single card right now. Am not on latest drivers will install it soon before I force the windows update. It doesn't crash all the time, just 4 times in past few days and no reported errors.

To avoid having the NvTelemetry installed, you can unpack the driver exe using 7zip or Winrar and simply locate and delete the NvTelemetry folder before running the setup. So far I only had the core crash on me once, that was while watching a Youtube video on Firefox. I usually watch videos on Youtube or MPC-HC while my GTX 980 Ti is folding, this driver has been stable for me these past three days.

I don't think so, definitely not after I installed HFM. Will give it a shot after I uninstall 381.65 since I'm already in a testing frame of mind! Got up to 406,000 PPD with the 372.90 on my 970FTW so that has been my fall-back driver when newer drivers disappoint.
