The 120 days is from today

They've already provided clarification, it's 120 days from date of purchase.

Is the step up page working for people? I clicked to process mine and it just goes to a page showing the Step up image?

I am now looking at the prices, I made myself ....... :-(
I bought 1070 EVGA FTW ACX 3.0 for € 486 paid the € 100 to FTW2 ICX which in total came to me € 586 + € 15 shipping = € 600. Graphics card has not been sent to me from the back, which came on the RMA Germany 03/07/2017 I do not have a new step-up a total overpaid for the entire facility, and in addition there is no FTW3 ICX and it is not known when it will be, and not I know what I can do within the framework of step-up :-( Ehhh

Nobody panic. Nobody take action yet. If you're in the 120 days or close, email. If you're not, email anyways and see what is what. eVGA support is very good, they put up with my negativity far more than they have to. I'm fairly certain everyone will get taken care of in one way or another, if we're patient.

We may not end up with our dream solution of a 1080 Ti Classified ICX2, but eVGA will do *something* for us.

Bought the 1080 Classified last August in MicroCenter.
After tax is like $800, no iCX cooler update, not very compatible thermal pad, absolutely out of the step-up window (loyalty customer who wants to get the Classified ASAP, I was so existed)
$100 Premium than the FTW, pretty much no performance enhancement whatsoever. Now the card is selling for only $570 after rebate before tax, only $40 more than the FTW.
Feel absolutely bad atm.

No it is the 1080ti FE since that is the only step up option as of now. I've never seen a classy offered on stepup.

Hi to all,

I was on the phone with EVGA and people with EVGA GTX 1080 Classified as EVGATech_ChrisB stated wil have a 120 days special step up program only to 1080Ti Founders Edition.  That is currently available for step up program to all. According to what I was told, the 1080Ti FTW3 will not be available for the step up program. The only 1080 Ti that will be in the step up program will be the Founders Edition.

Best Regards,
Medico
so they have no plans to add any open air box coolers like a plain icx/acx card? Or just that the founders is the only thing there atm

At this time, there is only a founders. No company has released their boards as of yet. Nvidia did this with the 1080 and 1070 as well. I think it was 10 or 14 days of founders before board partners were allowed to sell their cards, like the ICX.

Evga never talks about products that arent released. Theg will hint at them, but not give direct answers usually. For those close to the 120 day mark, they are offering sometbing no other company would ever consider doing. For those that want a 1080ti, this is unprecedented for a company, even EVGA at this point, to do. :-)

his msg just had me worried that EVGA told him that the founders card was going to be the only one. They must have meant only one at this time (I hope) and ya I am a big EVGA supporter their customer service is top notch ,and the step up program is amazing even if I end up with only the founders card.

Yea I bought mine in early December, I am happy I called today because I had 3 days to start the upgrade. I'm also glad we got the option to step-up but I think that people outside the step-up window should still be able to "upgrade" to the ftw2 cards.

I think you had better look at the Ti's design a Lot better, as it shows better venting and cooling design, also EVGA owes No1 any new GPU's including me and anyone else here, remember that. The 1080 Ti FE Edition is still a very good GPU, but it is up to you if you want to wait or not for the ICX version later on.

Yeah, don't worry and don't mis-read between the lines. Evga always like other GPU maker's wants to make new competitive Gpu version's of cards.

Everyone, no matter what... this is an amazing company that offers options that no other does. It is not a privilege and they don't have to do any of this (step-up, warranty, RMA process, etc). For those who can take advantage of the Step-Up program, then great. If they increase the days to 120 total to give us an opportunity to think about it or wait and if they offer a non-FE model, then amazing. I know some are disappointed but, when we buy into tech, we know chances are we might be obsolete a few months later or even sooner. Get the 1080 Ti today, a few months later it will be Volta. Be happy with what you have. I have sold plenty of video cards just to be able to get the next new thing. The fact that EVGA has incredible programs to at least mitigate some of this is nothing short of amazing and the reason that I've been an EVGA video card owner for so many years. Keep it up EVGA!

Honestly I don't mind having an FE card. The reference board will have many options for aftermarket coolers, unlike the 1080 Classified(made me sad not being able to get a proper hybrid for it.)

Hopefully I am lucky and I get a good cut of silicon!

Hello,

I only just registered here while waiting for the FTW3. Looks amazing. However, parts for my new build are coming in today so sadly, no GPU for now. I saw this stepup program and wondered if it's possible to stepup from the 1080 TI FE to a 1080 FTW3 when it comes out?

Regards,

No. First, this isnt the correct thread, but we wont worry about that for now.

The stepup program is for reference model pcb's, so founders and icx reference clock card.

Www.evga.com/support/stepup gives every detail you need.

The Sc2, the ftw3, and classified cards will not be on the list, as they are not reference pcb's.

Heck, I just don't get why some people are Not content with SC 1080 and 1080 FTW++ variants. I know that some people had some issues with the first 1080 SC and FTW GPU's then Evga came out with ICX technology which is a really great game changer for people, but some are still not content.

Yeah, i know, it's a lot easier said than done, but to be truthful if i had to only settle for a Vanilla 1080 Gamer's addition i would still be very thankfull as anyone else should be here unless of course they got a SC or a FT, then that would be different.

People like me do know that We do Win some and We do Lose some, and we mostly lose them, but we can also get very lucky, and I got very lucky being able to Upgrade to a 1080Ti FE. Thank you Evga. :)

To be completely honest, those that purchssed recently and utilize the step up appropriately, will mostly be getting a nearly free upgrade. Why would they be not take advantage of it.

Buying a 1080 or 1080ti now to step up to the other 1080ti models available later is extremely foolish, as they should just wait, but honestly, why wouldnt you want to be even more satisfied by the best company in the business that provides you an epic form of buyer protection? :-D

What about for those of us who purchased 1080 classified on release day, we are way beyond the step-up period for the 1080Ti FE, with no upgrade to icx 1080 classified version insight what options do we have.

Great offer from EVGA to their Classified customers.
To be honest I would be very interest to step-up from GTX1080 Classified to GTX1080Ti Founders Edition.
That's chance for people who had maybe problem to find waterblock.
NVIDIA GTX1080Ti Founders Edition attract me with their nice package, but something not give me to order NVIDIA when EVGA have FE as well.

Well, that's what I love and other people here like you and other people love about this (EVGA) Company. Not only because of just the awesome Step-up program that i have used  a few times over the years, but because of the best Customer service in my opinion as well for who knows how long now.

I barely made the Step-up program, as like some others here, it ends exactly on the 13 of this month. So i was indeed very lucky that EVGA did decide to also free up any small cache of their 1080Ti FE editions, at the same time i have to honestly admit that i would have been content with a good 1080 Gaming ACX 3.0 to if i would not have made the Step-up.

The offer is great by EVGA.  For those of us who want to watercool, now have the opportunity to watercool with the FE.  Honestly you don't need an SC or FTW at that point.

In my opinion, since 1080 Classified(Classssy) buyers will be a Special 120 day Step-up to a 1080Ti, i think that if the Classified people play thing right in their Step-up's in their 120 day's, and this is just what i would do being 'patient', and i'm sure within' their 120 day Step-up, that the New 1080Ti ICX and FTW3, etc, will come out. Maybe even i dare say a new water-block PCB version?
