I have a Soundblaster AE-5 yeah I know I'm posting this on EVGA site. Wondering if it's any better than a AE-5 I seen just one review on Amazon saying it's better but looking for something else.

    If you play games and listen to streaming audio or regular mp3's, i would just stick with the AE-5. Creative will be releasing a new UI for it's AE-5 sound card soon. They will be adding some new features to it. Have you tried by passing the BlasterX Acoustic engine to see if you like how it sounds without it? Headphones (7.1) mode uses BlasterX Acoustic engine,  Direct HP mode doesn't.
     
    I hear Creative will be releasing it's new AE-9 sound card in June or July.
