Very interesting info. I have to say that my RX 6900 XT is a very good video card. I'll run some more tests on it after I receive my household goods.

Well, from everything I read - the AMD cards generally do better slightly , EXCEPT for Ray Tracing tasks.

Looks like one 6900 xt owner made it to the 26th spot.

I think as the drivers are updated for the AMD cards, we will start seeing this more.

One of the things I been told about AMD cards is they have the ability to turn off several graphics details and graphics settings at the driver level(that you can't turn off on Nvidia cards) which allow them to get higher scores.  At least that's the way several 6900 XT owners have explained it to me.

    Ryzen R9 5950X, EVGA RTX 3090 Kingpin SLI/NVLink, 64 GB DDR4 4000 MHz B-Die, 1TB PCIE 4.0 NVMe SSD, 4TB PICE 3.0 NVMe SSD, 2TB 2.5" SSD, 12TB 7200 RPM HDD, 1500 Watt BeQuiet PSU, Lian-Li O11 Dynamic XL case.

Pretty sure 3dmark catches those if they have been changed from default.

The 6900xt's destroy nvidia in firestrike tests as well. I was so tempted to get the oc formula or red devil ultimate. I'm glad I didn't as they have finally dropped from nearly $3000 down to $1999. I've seen them go on sale to around $1800 ish lately.

RDNA 2 has a lot more to offer tho  slowly the drivers are improving these cards as well, AMD drivers are like wine they improve over time.
RDNA 3 will show similar performance increases over RDNA 2 as that RDNA 2 did over Vega 10, many poeple underestimate AMD then again seeing how well these cards are proving their results in this testing program truly comes to show.

Also did you know that RDNA 2 was designed by Raja Koduri himself, it was the last project he worked on before going to Intel and working on Xe2 DG2 HPG, so that too will be a very interesting development as I would see it.

But hey I Still love my Sapphire Nitro+ RX Vega 64 it does everything I want it to, with a nice undervolt of 0.92mv and a core speed of 1740Mhz, you don't see me complaining yet.
It's been in use for 4 years now, I'll see what RDNA 3 will bring.

The power delivery system of the OC Formula is a lot better than the Red Devil Ultimate and Liquid Devil Ultimate.

It does, but it still allows them and HWBOT also allows them to be submitted for official results.

Pretty sure it isn’t allowing them to be posted on the hof. Hwbot however does allow them for official rankings.

AMD drivers tend to age their cards like fine wine. Unfortunately, NVIDIA has too much of headstart, and by the time AMD it is there we’re another few generations ahead.

NVIDIA does have a headstart. In my opinion AMD needs to make high end cards that are capable of playing all games at the highest resolution smoothly. They don't need to try and outperform NVIDIA.

And Radeons do that just fine  in many cases they even beat NVIDIA's overpriced offerings, yet image quality output has always been higher with Radeon cards all duer oto higher quality parts and the improved 22D & 3D Filters Radeons have in advance.

I always noticed this difference with the 800+ Graphics cards I had since 1996, the masters of Image Quality were Matrox &A TI and 3dfx with their Voodoo3 line of cards.
Over the years ATI always held this slight advantage  when I had my GTX 1080 FTW2 it was if NV uses a gray filter making the image output less sharp and the color output was less warm than that of the Radeon and I used the same monitor for the test a HP- ZR24w  24" HS-IPS panel both cards using the Display port of course.

Overall I get perfect performance at 2560x1600p with my nitro+ RX Vega 64  the 6900 XT can handle 5120x3200p Easily, there are 5K Monitors but 4K wise you are evn fine with a 6800 non XT  give it a nice undervolt and High OC  of 2.8 to 3.1Ghz and your frames will be endless and the ride will be amazing.
Some people just don't know how to fine tune Radeons  and yea  can't really agree on how they see things.

Generally speaking I look for a card I'm comfortable with. And 100% of the time over the last 2 decades that's been NV cards. I've hated Radeons since they were ATi.

They've been crap...and to me they always will be. Your mileage may vary.

I am uncomfortable buying ATi (yes, I know it's AMD) cards.

Edit: Buying a card which 'wins' in synthetic benchmarks and provides maybe 3 to 5% increases in real world usage ..? Nope, not worth it. I'll buy something that's always
    been rock solid for me.

Lets throw on the OC and see what happens!

This is my first red GPU.   I honestly have few complaints about.

I always avoided ATI/AMD cards because they had a history of bad drivers.  Especially in the ATI days.  Didn't help that AMD had issues as well.

I did just get this newer version of the 6900XT that I'm probably gonna mess around with since this features the "XTXH" core that allows for higher than 3Ghz frequency. Though I'm not aiming for that high, I may toss it on the chiller and see if it can top the 2800Mhz my previous 6900 XT could do.

Amd,s website on Thursday mornings kind of reminds me of the shuffle except they don't throw in the extras you don't want or need just pay.RX 6900 or the 6800 xt damn well worth the money. Not at scalper prices. Oh well 52 to go for a ti.

That's pretty unusual to see. Not exactly sure how that's even possible. 6900XT is a good card, but I had no idea the OC was capable of ripping some of the 3090s...

AMD tends to optimize their cards slower than Nvidia, so if they are close in performance, you might be better off in the long term with AMD.
