Upon installing the latest drivers I cannot use the EVGA NU Audio software. It will not load once launched. I installed under an administrator account and things seemed to work after fighting with my system. I needed to re-enable the NU Audio speakers in the Windows audio devices window and change the sample rate to get sound to work. I'm now also greeted with the following message when logging in as a standard user on my machine:
"A windows update has recently finished. You will need to restart your computer to complete your EVGA's audio update. Do you want to restart now?"

Spoiler: restarting doesn't help. What gives? I'm going to revert to old drivers for now.

    Hi maddick19,

    Can you try this:

    1) Remove the EVGA NU Audio driver
    2) Download and run Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)
    3) Reboot into Safe Mode and remove Realtek Audio Driver
    4) Boot back into Windows and Reinstall the EVGA NU Audio driver

Just to add. I have the same problem under my normal user account. When I log into my admin account, the setup completes and all is fine. But when I log back to my normal account, the message appears again. Working on it further...

Yes... I'm having the same problem. Originally thought it was my new 970EVO hard drive but tried installing on both of my hard drives to no avail. I have had this card since Xmass and still not working.

    For those with this problem.
    - If you're not a local administrator, try elevating your account to one.
    - Uninstall an reinstall the software.
    - If it works, set your account back to a normal user.
    * In this procedure, make sure you have a spare admin account at all times!
At the moment I still get the message, but at least it works.

Is this to say that you cannot have a Realtek device installed with the NU Audio card as well? Haven't followed these steps just yet so I cannot confirm if this resolves the issue.

It works for me now, but I've had to reinstall my pc. Everything works fine now.
Adding another standard user (non admin) to the system, and the message was there again.
To sum up, the card works fine, it works with a complete reinstall, but not with a standard user.
So there's one conclusion, the software is at fault.

Not at all.  I've tested NU Audio and NU Audio Pro cards on our Z390 FTW board with the Realtek audio driver installed without issue.  Our Audio team suggested those steps to try, since you're having a very specific issue that might be related to a corrupt install of Realtek drivers.

Which drivers have you tested?  The latest?  Still using the X99 Classified, or have you updated your motherboard?

That's usually an issue with the installation of the Nahimic driver.

Ok so tonight I went through and uninstalled all audio drivers in safe mode with drive sweeper and then installed 0.2.1.10 drivers and came up with a bad install. From there I went into the C drive/program Files 86 and then the EVGA folder and tried installs from there. No good on the install, New problem. Now I'm getting an "Error Code = [0x001]" along with the bad install.
Then Went to C drive/Program Files/EVGA/NU Audio Driver and hit set up and came up with "Files 'vendor.cer' not found in C drive/Program Files/EVGA/NU Audio Driver"

    Please help.
    Thanks.

Tried again today to install from scratch and still nothing. Also down loaded the new Nahimic drivers from their web site and install said it was not compatible with my system.
Also installed the pro drivers and they installed with no problem.???!?!!??!!! Didn't do anything because I don't have a Pro card but installed none the less still installed.
Any one have any suggestions or ideas on this?

I've had the Pro software installed on a test bench with an original NU Audio card.  The only thing that I'd worry about is trying to get the firmware updated via the NU Audio software, which cannot happen on the Pro software.

The Nahimic drivers for the NU Audio software is a custom version tailored specifically to the NU Audio products.  The software available from Nahimic directly is not supported.

Are you still running into issues, or have you been able to resolve it?

I just installed my NU AUDIO  card two days ago and I still cannot get any software or driver to actually work.  I keep getting the same messages over and over and over.  The first one I get after a download attempt is that you must disconnect your card.  Do you want to do that now or later and there is no actual correct answer to that.  It's like the old do you still beat your wife question.  Then every time I log into Windows, I get a your driver failed to load type of message.  Did I make a mistake buying this card?
