So anybody else notice that there has not been any 17" for while? Was this a Failed experiment to offer laptops?

That is my conclusion for a while now.....laptops are a low margin business and require a high volume to compensate.

I suspect this might be the case as well as the new 9th gen Intel chips. If EVGA were to bring out a new lineup in the next few months with 8th gen chipset and 10 series, they'd be setting themselves up for failure as other manufacturers will be releasing 8 core CPUs and 20 series in early '19.

    i7-9700K, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB, 16GB Corsair LPX 3200, ROG Strix RTX 2080, EVGA G+ 850W Gold. 27" 1440p @144hz

Not really failed.. But sort of..

The 4k screen is a failed experiment by lots of manufacturer (more of a gimmick with no real benefit).
And the 17" Battery --> Thats the real failure.. Keep on discharging with no use (Up to 10% / day; whereas my old laptop keeps 100% when left alone for a week).

Honestly the 4k 17" is meh, nice on games but with a 1070 your not getting the highest FPS on high settings. Can't stream 4k, little more work space for me in cad though. I think it would have been better with a 2k screen.

I like the 4K screen but honestly I think 2K would have been more appropriate on a 17" screen. Basically I run my 4K screen at 175% Viewing size. I do love the keyboard, I generally use my EVGA 17" for work, Infrastructure Coding, Cloud stuff, docker, etc and only game on it while traveling for long periods. I was hoping for a model refresh and had planned on buying a second 17" depending on refresh specs but it seems EVGA is done with Laptops unless I am mistaken.

It seems very hard to get into the gaming laptop market.
