So little back story, I've been a EVGA fan/customer for many years. I've bought alot of EVGA cards. All top models of the years. Even multiple during the SLI phase of my life. I've sold EVGA brand  to friends and family telling everyone their the best at this. I've been quiet for the last few month's, and now I've hit my last straw with this. How much time does it take to find a new card is getting out of hand. Why do all these online stores have cards to have gobbled up by scalpers? Why is EVGA supplying them? The sales are right here so what's the difference? I'm not camping outside the store in hopes of getting a new card. I've done my part over years dropping tens of thousands of dollars into EVGA pocket. Isn't a loyal - dedicated customer worth anything anymore?

The Elite members should have first crack at these before a chain or online store.

They're more scalper cards being sold online than potential orders that EVGA has in the notify system. Give to the real customers first. Sell to someone who will appreciate it.

Sorry for the rant, I have to stop reading these forums...

You aren’t the only one frustrated, but realize that EVGA has obligations to vendors that they can not break without repercussions.

I see your point, larger customers are worth more than us here. Got it :)

Ha, no.. EVGA set up the queue program so that they could sell to the customer. Imagine if all of the vendors did the same. Legal obligations don’t get absolved because skryker says he needs a new video card. Contracts won’t be broken just because individuals are inconvenienced. EVGA created the queue to mitigate bots.

Oh ok, it all makes perfect sense now. Here I thought the cards were being sold to miners and OEM's. Or the ratio of cards to gamers verses business was extremely unbalance. I'm on a couple list and to see 8 -20 cards per week being notified must be an illusion. Some card versions haven't even started to notify - Its been 3 MONTHS. Its ridiculous. I realize there are some challenges, but 20 cards per week on their own site - that's just pathetic. Since the 01/05/21 the only card that has seen movement has been the 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming and even then it was like 25 cards. My point " IS " EVGA needs to service its own site much better than they have been.

And I understand the unofficial lists are just that, not fully accurate to be precise. But they are good enough to see if the company even has a pulse. Oh humm, I just wait like everyone else though

sadly too, the "retailers" are in on the sale to miners business also. I drove an hour each direction to a store that promoted having 5 cards available "in store only". Do you think I had a slim chance of getting one. When I arrived at the store the Defacto Outlet webpage still showed 5 cards available. Long gone the store salesman said, nothing in the 30 series available. And after driving an hour home, the webpage still showed 5 cards available.

Unfortunately, they can't make cards without components. And as the_Scarlet_one said, they have contractual obligations to retailers. As well as the fact that their B2B freight workflow is probably a lot cheaper and more efficient for them than B2C. It's not just EVGA, and not just nVidia.

Evga cant make cards without chipsets from Nvidia and Nvidia cannot keep up with demand right now. Nvidia is the problem, not evga. If it was just evga, then all the other companies would have stock, but they dont. No one has stock on cards.

Lol I hear ya man. Been on the step up list over 4 months now. I put in a notify in Sep but for some reason it didn't register, so did it again on 10/7 and still waiting for that. Supply issues feel worse now than they were at launch.

There are about 9 AIB's + Nvidia with the FE
If in one week they make say 10,000 chips, and assuming an even split then each once gets 1000.
EACH AIB + the FE gets 1000 WORLDWIDE

These are conservative and purely estimated.

But EVGA would then have a contract with say best buy whom get 50% of EVGA stock for the various stores (500) over the number of those stores
Then add in other stores and you see the number falling.
When some stock is not under contract it's on the EVGA store and bam the list shortens
And we are not even covering each of the different models.
In short they are in very high demand and thus filtering slowly to fulfilment. Everyone who wants one will get one eventually.
And when it comes to scalpers, they are scum but it's not really their own fault, if people didn't pay they wouldn't sell, so blame the people willing to pay the scalper tax.

But people are, some people get lucky, some people have more time to look.
I could've gotten a 3090 FE the other day, don't want one so didn't get it, but I could have.

Sadly, this is 1 of the many problems plaguing the 30 series cards. More than a few brick-and-mortar reseller employees have been accused (and some caught red handed) of holding cards for "buddies" or for those willing to pay a little extra under the table. Nearly every store I have been to states 1 per customer but somehow there are still new eBay listings popping up nearly every day and some of these listings will have multiple units to sell. I have seen new single listing EVGA cards, in shipping boxes, on there nearly every time a new batch goes out. One new listing went up yesterday with 4 EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra cards at $1550 each.
You have Nvidia who flubbed the launch of every 30 series card from day 1 and who was (is?) selling units directly to miners. Then you have the low life scalpers botting every unit they can get their slimey little hands on.
On top of this we now have EVGA gradually raising the prices. . . as I knew they would when I first read about the queue. Anybody that has/will queue for a card after 1-11-21 will pay more than those who ordered before that date, that is until 4-16-21 rolls around and the original MSRP protection ends for everybody still waiting. That's right folks, EVGA is taking advantage of the thousands of their customers who have been in queue for months. With the gap between production and shipping getting wider, many of us will have to turn away empty handed or be forced to pay a higher price than what we signed up for. To put the wait time into perspective: some 3080 FTW3 Ultra emails went out today for those who went on the queue way back towards the end of the day on 9-18-2020. This same trend is across all cards with some versions having only a few units ever being shipped. At this rate of output, everybody who queued from mid-to-late October for the more popular cards will be paying these higher prices. And mark my words on this: the prices will go up again (maybe multiple times) long before the queue reaches 2021.
The notice found at the bottom of the 'Contact Us' page:
SPECIAL EVGA 30 SERIES UPDATE NOTICE:
Due to ongoing events, EVGA has made price adjustments on the GeForce RTX 30 Series products. This change was necessary due to several factors and will be effective January 11, 2021. EVGA has worked to reduce and minimize these costs as much as possible. For those who are currently in the EVGA.com Notify Queue system or Step-Up Queue, EVGA will honor the original MSRP pricing through April 16th, 2021 if your purchase position is processed before this date.

Sigh.... folks... it isn't just our precious GPU market (singling out EVGA as different from other AIB partners is even more silly but I digress) that is disrupted. It is going to be awhile.
    Dateline TODAY:

Ford has ordered a month-long production halt at one of its plants in Germany, the latest sign that a global shortage of computer chips is putting carmakers under increasing pressure and threatening their recovery from the pandemic.
The US automaker said it would idle its factory in Saarlouis, Germany, from Monday until February 19 because of the chip shortage and weak demand. The plant makes Ford's most popular car in Europe, the Focus, and employs around 5,000 workers.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and adjusting production schedules to minimize the effect on our employees, suppliers, customers and dealers across Europe," said a Ford spokesman. "At this time, we do not anticipate any similar actions at our other European facilities."
Ford (F) was forced to close a SUV plant in Louisville, Kentucky, last week because of the shortage of semiconductors. But the shutdown in Germany suggests the problem, which is affecting carmakers around the world, could get worse before it gets better.

Isn't the price hike an American thing due to some trade deal with China? I could be mistaken as I'm in the UK, but the prices on the EU store seem to be the same as before.

I expect the Trump tax tariff to be eliminated shortly. How that will affect prices is unknown. However, we've all seen how gasoline prices rocket up, but never seem to rocket down.

Same here in the UK, and they blame volume purchases, but the price is always quick to rise and slow to fall.
And even then don't get me started on fuel pricing as we pay tax on tax for our fuel

It would be nice to at least know how long the wait is.. feels like they're sending out about 5 cards a month.
I spent $4000 a year ago to replace an old computer with a new machine, powered by a 16 core Ryzen 9 and it's still using a 1080 hybrid that is 3 years old, last part to upgrade and I'd even pay scalper prices to get an official one vs who the heck knows from some third party. :(

I am wondering, if I signed up for the step up for a 3080 FTW on the first day and still haven't got a notify 4 months later, how long will those that signed up weeks after have to wait? Lol. The 4xxx series will be released before they get cards.

At 11¢ per kWh and 250-400 mile range, it's electric time at my house. I watched prices go to the lowest they've ever been since I started driving, and that's not sustainable at all. Even low $2 per gallon is so obviously short term pricing. With a long commute, gas bills are a car payment.

I am wondering, if I signed up for the step up for a 3080 FTW on the first day and still haven't got a notify 4 months later, how long will those that signed up weeks after have to wait? Lol. The 4xxx series will be released before they get cards.

I've been told since October every time that I mention I'm running a 3090 that I don't in fact have a 3090, they don't exist or no one has them.. So good luck. I dunno what I bought and have been using for months but it's not a 3000 series card. Good luck! I've been curious what the 3080 queue was like. Sadly for most folks, they're not AU based. AU seemed to have good 3000 series stock compared to the NA market.

sadly too, the "retailers" are in on the sale to miners business also.

This is why you call ahead. I made this mistake once. Fry's is the only retail store where I can buy varying PC parts that isn't RAM or GPUs and its an hour and a half drive. I made the mistake when their website said they had 20 8700k's in stock a few months after the CPU released and they were running a sale which lowered the CPU's prices down by 20% making it $310. I arrived just after lunch time after double-checking they still had stock and their site said they did at my specific location. The guy I spoke with said they were all gone within an hour of opening.

It sucks that we all have to wait to get a 30-series GPU. But this isn't just an issue with EVGA. This is a global supply issue with regard to the fact that production has barely increased due to COVID.

Anything that relies on computer hardware, is going to be at limited production. And that naturally means low supply. Low supply means high demand.  High demand means higher prices in an effort to lower the demand, which clearly that didn't work as even in some markets where the 30-series has seen a $100+ increase in sale price and even MSRP.

Here's the truth - until industries can go back to full production, not just for electronics but for production of many products - we're going to see a massive supply shortage.

For those of you in the US like me - expect to see higher prices overall due to hyper-inflation that is yet to come. If you're not paying attention - those 2 stimulus checks that have already been sent out, with possibly another 3rd round of stimulus checks and a proposal to raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr that is riding along with the stimulus package... and lets not forget that something like 67% of our nations total money supply being printed in the last 12 months. Prepare for the worst. We're betting against our own buying power.

It stings to see so many people buy cards using the system in place to prevent bots and scalpers like the EVGA queue and Best Buy's system to only have those people turn around and sell them at a 50% profit. I wish there were a system in place to turn those folks in to prevent them from continuing from getting cards when there are a lot of folks that legitimately just want one for themselves. I chatted with 2 people yesterday, one had a 3070 that he got from the EVGA queue and wanted between $800-1000 for it and the other had a 3060 TI FE from best buy and wanted between $600-800 for it. Neither of them purchased them with the intention of using them.

    More complaining about 'wanting'.

Must be nice to not 'need' ...
